i´m not sure how many of you (if any at all) did watch some live-streams from the wacken open air festival fromt he last couple of days?
i did and there were many exciting shows that i have enjoyed alot from a musical standpoint.

Its not very often that female singers of metal bands ditch their shoes on stage and perform barefoot, most of the time they wear high boots, especially in the symphonic metal genre.

When Amaranthe went on the stage, i noticed their singer Elize Ryd had some rather unfomfortable shoes on her feet to rock the stage. so i was really hopying that at some point she would ditch them and perform barefoot. But it seems she didnt.
After around 30min, i couldnt believe my eyes.. where are her shoes gone? she suddenly performed the Song "Amaranthe" in her bare feet. my heart almost stopped, i didnt see any closeups at all but it was the first time actually i have seen her barefoot on stage, and that was quite a special moment for me.
Unfortunately, after the song she ran backstage to put on some high boots:( doh..

No worries at all. I am a huge metalhead, more black metal than the kind of stuff Amaranthe do but I really enjoy them and love watching Elize. She is so sexy so seeing her without shoes on really is something special!

Shame there are not many other metal singers out there who shed their shoes (that I have found anyway).
