Cool photo, thanks for sharing, Bremer!

Found this random old pic of Burkhards, dont think it was ever reposted recently. Dont know much about it but I guess he met this girls on the street and asked for photos. From fashion etc it looks like it might even be from the 80s. I guess the girls were simply barefoot for fashion or comfort on a warm day and not necessarilly barefooters.

They wore especially noticible bells around their ankles. In one shot you can see that they carried their shoes with them, wearing these ankletts did not necessarily go with beeing barefoot. I guess girls wore it to draw attention to them and in the 80s many girls who were barefoot also did it for attention, so many barefoot girls would wear bell anklets, but I remember many girls wore them with shoes in summer, mainly leather sandals of any kind. Flip flops were not really common in the 80s and might have even been the more inappropriate fashion choice than bare feet at that time.

Another random Burkhard-pic, the girl on the right side has somewhat the same style. This girls were obviously carrying shoes as many girls did that only occassionally went barefoot. Seeing
the old cell phone in one of the girls hand I guess this must have been taken around 2000.

Another pic from Burkhard from about 25 years ago. I once asked him what the dirtiest feet were that he has ever seen and he told me about 2 occassions, one was the girl from PopKom I posted some time ago, the other one were this 2 girls. Burkhard met these girls barefoot in the city center of cologne, I guess in the mid 90s. They had absolutely black feet, the blackest feet Burkard ever saw – that was surprising to him and the girls as they were by no means “hardcore barefooters”, they simply decided to leave their shoes at home while going shopping on a hot summers day as it was sort of accepted fashion choice at that time. They had no idea about how black their feet were and were very surprised to see, just thinking that they must have had walked “somewhere very dirty”.
