I can understand very well, but for me it is even a bit more interessting to know that the girl on the pic actually IS a 24/7 barefooter. With burkhards pics there are a few pics were wa actually know for sure, that is just like hitting the Jackpot for it is almost impossible to get any info about the background in almost 100% of the pics you find randomly on the web.

This are the 2 girls I was talking about and I posted this pic here a few months ago, this two girls are true barefooters and the one with the black shirt actually came to the festival without bringing any shoes.

Yeah, that’s why I liked finding out some of the backstories of some of Burkhard’s shoots, like the Sandra chick he found of the train heading into Cologne who had no shoes with her. You wonder how long she’s gonna walk around Cologne with no choice but to be barefoot and wonder how jet black the soles of her feet would be by the end of the day…

I don’t mind if a chick isn’t 24/7 barefoot as long as she’s at willing to walk barefoot in the city and get dirty feet at least some of the time. The girl that Burkhard photographed at Rudolstadt this year looks like she might go barefoot in the city from time to time and that’s enough for me.

Speaking of Rudolstadt, there was also a girl from a few years back Burkhard photographed who had a Rasta hat on and a Bob Marley t-shirt who had very black feet and wasn’t carrying shoes. I wondered if she showed up to Rudolstadt without shoes.

Yeah like I don't expect the models to actually be 24/7, it's just nice to look for evidence that the model has barefooting experience

Yes, this are the 2 girls Burkhard met at Rudolstadt Festival later, I guess arount 2010/2012. This pic was posted more recently, maybe 2 years ago, also on his old insta. This girls are actual 24/7 barefooters, they not only came to Rudolstadt Festival without any shoes, they told Burkhard that they are always barefoot and do not even own shoes anymore for "they do not need them". He told be they had extremly dirty and callused feet with the blonde girl having surprisingly worn toe nails. Knowing this and seeing this Photo is something like a fantasy some true for me. Sadly Burkhard did not take any close ups of the soles of the girl with the skirt standing in the background and did not ask them about barefooting, he just was taking pics. I am really curious if they would be barefooting through winter or get a pair of shoes once it gets cold...

According to him, this 2 girls and the one from the 90s I posted earlier are the only girls he knows about that actually came to the festival without bringing shoes along. Sure, there might be more, he does not ask those kind of things all the time, but it seems a rare occassion anyways even at a place were barefooting is common like this festival. It seems that many barefooters are still somewhat concerned about barefooting at the concerts at night when it gets crowded and dirty

I saved it myself when he posted it to his first Instagram account, I was just wondering if there was a backstory to the girl.

I saved a lot of what he posted to Instagram from his first account, but I know there’s a lot more great older stuff he has that I wish he’d post somewhere if not Instagram.

Man, I love the bells on the ankle of the one girl. A number of girls Burkhard took pics of over the years had bells of other anklets that looked like they’d jingle when they walked. Also, Celeste from Toes-In-Action had an anklet that jingled in the early videos Hal took of her.

It’s as if the girls want to draw attention to themselves walking through the city in bare feet.

Yeah, it was quite a fashion some years ago, my ex girlfriend also used to wear an anklet with bells. Sure, they do it to draw attention to their feet with jingling bells and to stick out. I guess main reason why some punks/hippies/etc walked barefoot in the 80s and 90s actually was mainly to stick out anyways. Hardly see girls with bell anklets today any more (shoes or barefoot). Good, I always thought of it kind of annoying

It looks cute. But I imagine it can get annoying really fast
