one more pic from Rudolstadt Festival. One of the earliest Burkhard took there, maybe 1995. He has posted this pic many times on multiple platforms. That year weather was quite cold but this girl was still barefoot, despite rain and 12°C temperature.

This pictures, despite having been published quite recently, are already one of my all-time favorites.
Their feet are incredible black. It is not visible in the close-up, but looking at the blonde girls feet in this pic:

They appear cleaner in the close-up, but there you can see that even the arches are filthy. THe callus is really thick, but also the spot on the toe is really cool, probably an old cut

That with the information that they are not only barefooters but actually do not even own shoes makes this so interessting for me. In my fantasy, this girl simply does not care were she steps, walking through filth, broken glass and the crowd at a punk concert at night, not really caring about washing her feet much. And probably my fantasy in this case is closer to reallity than I actully think.

A while back I asked Burkhard if he ever met girls that did not own any shoes. Except from the 2 Grils from Rudolstadt festival there is this one girl he met in Munich in the mid 80s

There is also another pic of her showing her soles that he posted multiple times but I seem not to have it saved. This girl was a true hippie, not owing shoes and shortly after the pics she left Germany for good, going to Ibiza to live with a hippie commune.

In early 2000s there was this girl he photographed at Nuremburg cental station, she was traveling barefoot and told him she does not have any shoes any more

And there was Larissa of whom he posted the Interview on his tiktok, she was wearing shoes at that time but told him she lived for 5 years without owning shoes. Also there war Siahra Katherina, the Hippie Girl that was on the news recently a few times, a link to her insta was posted here a while back. He did not meet her but wrote some time with her. She also lived barefoot through severa years, even travelling in winter while there was snow and ice barefoot by foot through germanys contryside. At a point a fellow hiker she met gave her a pair of boots for her frostbite was getting quite bad.

As a barefooter myself, I admire those girls and always wonder why the would do this. There is surely not much hassle in keeping an old pair of boots or flip-flops under your bed. I suppose there girls feel so uncomfortable knowing that there are shoes even only close by that they rather choose to give them away.

If you have a lot more of Burkhard’s 90s barefoot girl photos to share, I’d appreciate it if you did somehow. Or if you could convince Burkhard to share them again, maybe on deviant art if not Instagram. I saved a lot of the ones he shared on his first IG account but I know he has a ton more.

I gues Burkhard has finally figured out that posting the old picutres of girls that have not given their consent to have phtos published on the internet is not a good idea - so his curent account has changed, less of a fetish-focus and only picutres of people that have agreed to have their pictures posted. I can post some old picutres here occassionally, but I will only do so with the faces blurred out, even in the old pictures. I believe by german law it is fine to post old pictures (older than 25 Years) for they are considered "historcal", but still i feel more comfortable to not show the girls' faces.

I did find the second photo of the girl from the 80s. With the pic of the girl beeing barefoot in cold rain at Rudolstadt festival, this is the other photo that Burkhard posted multiple times on various platforms and also uses as kind of a "cover picture" for his portfolio etc. It has been reposted many times to flickr etc.

This pic is very old, mid 80s, maybe early 80s. He met this girl in Munich city center, she just left home, was with friends in Munich and about to move to Ibiza to live with Hippies.

I was a child in the mid 80s and do not remember much abour girls beeing barefoot then, but I surely remember that barefooting itself was more common at that time, seeing barefoot children frequently that I always envied as I was not allowed to be barefoot. Never saw kids gooing to school etc barefoot, but it seems to have been much more accepted then as children were barefoot in Malls, Supermarkets etc on hot summer days.

I have talked to people that were barefoot in the 80s and it seems to have been much more challanging than today. It was not only much more dirty (Cigarett butts everywere for smoking was OK everywere and dog shit all over as it was not common to clean up after ones dogs), broken glass (almost all soft drinks were sold in glass bottles, not much plastic bottles yet) and, what seemed to be the biggest challange, lids from cans. They still had "pull-off-tabs" that came off the can and people threw it just everywere, making it common to cut your callus on those at events or simply in parks as they were hidden in the grass. For a barefooter in the 80s, this was just accepted as every day buisssness.

Another more recent photo from (what I believe) Rudolstadt Festival. Burkhard said this girl did step on broken glass und simply wrapped tape around it and continiued walking. From this photos it seems unlikely to me, I would rather guess she fixed her ankle support with this tape.

I really hate to say it, but I'm like 95% sure that all of her captions (and thus, probably the book too) are AI generated. The constant em dash usage and "it's not just X, it's Y" sentence structure are dead giveaways. Ditto for the art in the linked post, the right foot on the cover has only four toes and the white reflection on the side of the coffee cup makes no sense.
