Well mate.. Instagram is all the rage now.. I am not there because I connect from PC, not from a smartphone.
Facebook used to be more effective to get visibility.. now it is set in a way which does not allow the same visibility for all posts and for all posters.
That said, Facebook remains a lively space, even if the feedback is often "minimalist" (emoticons and single words)..
and even if the true effectiveness of promotional posts on Facebook is difficult to assess from a commercial standpoint.
Funny thing, I never had any problems with trolls on Facebook.. differently from MySpace, DeviantART and.. this forum, I would also say..
Even if also WU's Foot Forum has known better days, it remains the liveliest web space for people who are into feet, IMMO.
As for CF forum.. I am afraid that it is slowly dying.. even if I was amazed at seeing so many comments in reply to my question!!!

I fully agree with you that the extent of the membership base of a forum does matter.. and WU's has a clear advantage in this respect.
Yet, when I post pics of barefooting women in a specialist forum like this one, I would expect more feedback.. not necessarily positive, of course.
I would APPRECIATE IT A LOT also if people commented POLITELY "sorry Feetosopher, I don't like this or that for this or that reason".
Being respectful towards a person does not imply 24/7/365 ass-licking.

The most important consideration: the worst error I could make is TAKING FOR GRANTED that EVERYBODY LOVES MY BAREFOOT URBAN GIRLS.

You hit the nail right on the head with your considerations about female barefooting in Latin countries.. the related challenges are unknown to most non-Latinos!
I have been to Germany and Switzerland a lot.. besides the fact that female barefooting is much more common there,
it is also essential to underline that people are much more respectful of individual freedom in those countries!
I mean.. I have NEVER heard ANYBODY daring to comment ANYTHING about a woman walking barefooted in public in those countries.
You know too well what happens in Latin countries yet, amigo!
A beautiful girl has little to gain and a lot to lose if she dares to appear in public without wearing the ALL-IMPORTANT FASHIONABLE SHOES.
Most people would see her as the oddball, and a lot of people would feel that they have the right to make silly comments like
"nice boots!", "hey, can't you afford shoes?" or "did you fall from bed this morning"?
I mean.. a beautiful girl must have A BIG PAIR OF BALLS to appear barefooted in public in Italy, in Peru or in any Latin country!

As for me keeping to contributing to the forum.. moments like these, when it gets alive again.. make me feel more enthusiastic about posting stuff here..

I guess there are two types of casual barefooter:

1) I've met lots of women who are barefoot almost the entire summer, they will only wear shoes during work or if they have to (driving a car barefoot is illegal in Germany). They will travel to festivals for a week and not take shoes along or visit the university barefoot or go into clubs & concerts barefoot. I would almost consider them 24/7 barefooters, even though they will wear shoes in Germany's winter (which can be pretty freezing). Hardcore casual barefooters.

2) Then there are other casual barefooters who will walk barefoot at home and in the garden, and possibly walk barefoot in front of their house and to the bakery or supermarket around the corner, maybe also for a couple of hours at some outdoor festival or ride their bike barefoot to the lake. They are cool but they would never consider traveling without their shoes in the luggage.

What you wrote surely applies to Germany, mate. Yet I think that most of your earlier "barefooting" models actually fell somewhere in between types 1) and 2).
I have noticed a clear switch in TIA's focus towards more "hardcore barefooting type" girls over the last 3-4 years.
To be honest, several of your more recent models don't exactly meet my PERSONAL tastes for 1) faces 2) overall figure 3) clothing.

No need to say that the situation about "casual barefooters" in Italy is totally different.
Type 1) girls are nearly non-existent, and the rare ones I have met are often against "posing for porn sites for the pleasure of male wankers".
Most of my models fall somewhere in between your types 1) and 2). They can stay barefooted for an entire day, or even for several days in a row
(you should remember about EYLUH), but would SURELY carry along at least a pair of flips, or shoes, in case of need.

Just so there is no misunderstanding: I didn't mean paid models but normal women and what they do in their private time. Not what they COULD do but what they actually do in everyday life -- if and when they take off their shoes (e.g. do they only do it at home and in the garden, or do they also go shopping, etc.). I'm sure even a woman who never walks barefoot privately could probably spend a day barefoot on the street when paid for by a photographer, but I didn't mean that.

Unfortunately I've also met women who NEVER walk barefoot --- in fact there are some who'm I've never seen in open-toed shoes but always in closed shoes, even when the weather is hot.

If you meant this.. I cannot but confirm that there are VERY FEW women of type 1) in Italy.
The only one I've met in person is RED-X, whom you know well.. she started barefooting BEFORE the start of her career as model and professional escort.
From the web, it seems that there are other Italian women who have embraced the barefoot lifestyle.. but it's impossible to tell from the videos / images where they appear HOW MUCH TIME they ACTUALLY spend barefooted.
