On sunday morning I had a nice experience:
I was at a party the night before and walked home at around 4h in the morning. I came past another party (some huge dance/disco event with thousands of people) and that party seemed to be over. There were dozens of barefoot women coming out of the place, all with their uncomfortable shoes in their hands and with dirty black soles (probably from dancing barefoot). It was amazing -- a real barefoot overkill with almost 100 barefoot girls all together. I just sat down and watched them all for about half an hour ... then the show was over.
What a great way to end the night

please always have your camera ready from now on!!

I can watch the same thing every year at the end of "Day of the City" celebration. Unfortunately, this happens at night (after 00:00), so it's doo dark to make some shots. Last year I counted more than 40 barefoot girls! It was disaster for my brains %)

I always have a camera ready ... but it was too dark for photos. Plus, there was security and even police standing in front of the hall ... I would have just drawn attention if I´d used a flashlight to shoot pics of all the girls.

I think you will go to this disco very often..
and I hope you will succeed to make some shot/videos,but with the disco dark alternating by flashing light is quite impossible,even with very expensive camera.
The best think is follow the girls while walking on the road,near the street lighting,and secretly filming/shooting,maybe asking them some banal excuse (the time,some cigarette...).

I have clamb hill for a long time.It's exciting when i stepped on detritus.

Years ago a Grateful Dead show was the best place to see and meet barefoot girls with filthy dirty, tough feet. The show started walking around the parking lot all day and then the stadium floors during the show. I met some girls at Dead shows and you couldn't tell which of us the the filthiest feet, up past the ankles! Too bad there weren't digital cameras back then :-(

I had a brief but good sighting today in Brooklyn. Two girls walking on the street, one with dreadlocks had no shoes on. Her feet were quite dirty. I only caught a quick look, and given the lightning and thunder all around, I decided not to see where she was going, as I didn't want to get caught in the pouring rain.

It might not be as good as what you see in Germany, but it's something.

Hal, have you ever thought about going to an event with lots of barefoot girls and trying to get some photos? I ask because I was looking on Flickr at pictures of the Karneval der Kulturen in Berlin from last weekend, and there were a good number of barefoot girls in the parade.

I thought that it would have been cool if you had been there to get some photos of your own.
