I'm a 23 year-old college student from long island (an NYC suburb). There was this girl wearing sandals in one of my classes and of course I took notice and a few quick glances throughout the class. This is something I've done since probably as far back as elementary school. But after class she approached me and asked if I would not look at her during class. I said OK and started to walk away. She then called me back and specifically said that she saw me looking at her feet. I was so embarassed that I just told her OK and I won't look anymore. In all the years I've been looking at girl's feet this is the first time anything like this has ever happened.
I haven't had this class since this happened and don't know what I should do next class. At this point I simply don't want to come across as a creep. Has this ever happened to anyone else? Does anyone have advice on how I can at the very least apologize to her making her feel uncomfortable? Thanks. |

I'm in my 30's, I went to a good school, I've dated for 20 years, got a huge foot fetish.
Avoid this one completely. No apologizing, no discussion. Don't look at her. You didn't hurt her feelings, she's a little bitch actress, I don't care how she's delivering this. If she pursues you, if she confronts you again just once, DO NOT say a word, walk away. This is the danger zone, this is the point you must take action: get your story straight, and get to the dean's office immediately. And btw dude, you didn't do shit. Tell the dean, emphasize your forthrightness, emphasize you think the girls is really overreacting because you looked at her, and you'd like a conclusion. This will keep you out of trouble, and will shut her down bam. Watch that peeking. And recognize when a chick is fucking with you. Good luck. |

Apologize for watching her or her feet? No my friend, you haven't done anything bad, you've just been watching, that's all. No need to apologize at all. Just ignore her. It's just as if you had been observing her hair, her earrings or her hands, just like that. If you apologize to her it's like you admit you were doing something wrong, and you haven't.
Don't worry, things won't become a trouble. -------------------- Regards

I had a similar situation recently. I too have been sneaking looks at girls feet for as long as i can remember. I was at a music festival in the summer and I saw a very tall hot chick standing there wearing short shorts and bare feet with no shoes in sight at all, which i love, i was totally stunned and staring at her feet when her friend spotted me. It was quite crowded and there were lots of people around when her friend said out loud "look at that guy he cant stop staring at your feet" and the hot chick replied "no he can't". I was so embaressed and it was the first time anyone has ever caught me out in public. Luckily i was on my own at the time but still very embaressing.

This is clearly an awkward situation, and although I'm a woman I'm afraid my response to such things is very different from that of my fellow ladies. I enjoy showing off my feet and soles and don't mind if other people check them out. A handful of my friends also like the attention, but the vast majority of women I know would much rather men engage them eye to eye...or absent that they want men to notice whatever part of their body they are trying to show off (breasts, legs, navel, hips, etc). These women don't consider their feet beautiful or worthy of attention (even though they paint their toes because everyone else does it), so they don't understand it when people check them out.
I agree with the other posts that you just let this one go and move on. Take care and keep em bare and dirty! Melissa |
