The first time I met Shirin she told me that there is another true barefoot girl in her class and that I could take photos of her, if I like.
Of course I wanted to and so I met up with Ava, a totally sweet girl with beautiful feet. She came directly from school and was of course barefoot and had her toes polished in mint green, which I thought was pretty cool.
She wasn`t shy at all and her soles were nice & tough and she could easily walk over any surface without flinching...so I just filmed her while we walked back to the train station after our photo session.
She missed her train back home but that was actually a good thing because she still came along to my office to show me some more of her feet ;-)

Where do you find this great girls?

Like I mentioned above, Shirin recommened her to me. Yeah, she`s awesome. I also still have a short video clip of her shopping in the supermarket.
Usually when I see a barefoot girl on the street I will walk up to her and give her my number...most of them call me back.

Can`t wait for Summer (or Spring...weather here is still aweful) and all the new barefoot girls.

Hal, what else do you know about her? How long has she been a barefooter, why did she decide quit wearing shoes? How tough her soles are, how do they feel?

Hal, I've bought and downloaded both Shirin and Ava clips and I've to say that a little "barefoot challenge" between them would be a real goody (even if the result would be already written, as Shirin is impressively peaceful in her barefootin' on the stone path where Ava also goes - yes - but not without a little flinching that says all).

I'm waiting from a long time for such a challenge: do you think it would be impossibile?

I think I´ve mentioned this before somewhere but although Shirin has the toughest soles she`s not neccessarily the toughest barefooter when it comes to surfaces -- I guess because she is so thin (she is the toughest when it comes to tempearture...still walking barefoot in cold Autumn and basically walking barefoot 24/7 everywhere). Fee is tough at surfaces and so are Malina, Heike, Angelique, Tammy and Ananda. Also wait till you see the clips of Verena. I´m also sure that Zoe would be pretty tough if she walked barefoot more often...the funny thing about her is that she has the most sensitive/ticklish soles I´ve ever seen but she is a tough barefoot girl considering that she mostly runs around in shoes.

I´ve only met twice with Ava but both times where GREAT! She´s really fun to work with and a totally intelligent girl...something I admire in a person. It´s amazing that she`s only 19 years old...she seems much older.
She still told me the best thing: She attended an "alternative" school (together with Shirin...they have both finished school now) and she said there were a whole bunch of barefoot-hippy-type girls at that school. Wow! Sound like the school I would have loved to attend when I was a child, haha.
I don`t know her exact reasons for walking barefoot but it seems to be popular at that school or maybe if your best friend is Shirin it just comes naturally. I met Shirin on the street last year and she was walking with two other female friends and they were barefoot as well. They said: "We`re just trying it out to see what it feels like...Shirin pursuaded us!".

Basically yes.
A "complete challenge", made to settle who's the toughest barefooter, should maybe include more than one proof: one involved with pressure, one with blows, one with temperature ... to simulate any situation that in a 24/7 barefoot life happen.
But the barefoot walk surely woul be the "main proof".

So i've ... lost my capability to identify at a glance barefooter's strenghts and weaknesses.
I'd really thougth Shirin was DEEPLY tough on surfaces.

... I've all of your videos about "not easy" barefooting.
And I think that she could be the only one that could make a real challenge for Shirin.

I can easily believe you ... the girl that inspired me this passion (I've mentioned her in another post) seemed not stoppable at all, by any surface, but a deep massage could make her go crazy, and moreover make her lose any strength and barefoot attitude for hours, making her going in troubles on the easiest gravel (but in that case barefooting was mixed with a deep fetish).

However: is the "challenge" intriguing you?

Yes, a challenge between Shirin and Fee sounds great. I´ll have to see how both girls are available...Shirin just had a child and Fee moved to the UK for a few months last winter.
We might have to choose two other barefoot women.
