1, barefoot where she is not supposed to

barefoot at beach, home, boat are much less exciting than say barefoot on snow.


2, close-ups

I strongly prefer short, clear close-ups over long yet blurry shots.


3, beauty of the actress


4, beauty of her feet

I personally prefer no toenails.


And here is my ranking:

1, Witch from Nepal 1986

Emily Chu is barefoot from the beginning till the end, never put on any socks or shoes. There are many close-ups, for example

This is by far my favorite.


2, The great leap 1927
Barofoot mountain climbing with great close-ups! I read Leni Riefenstahl was barefoot in some other mountain movies, but did not find any. Anyone knows?


3, Phenomena 1985

Lots of close-ups of barefoot Connelly, although I am not sure whether it was a body double. The feet seem different from her other movies.


4, Green mansions 1959

Hepburn is barefoot through out. Unfortunately no bluray release yet.


5, The night of Iguana 1964

Ava Gardner is barefoot through out, although no close-ups of her. But this is a great close-up of Sue Lyon. Bluray available.


6, The barefoot contessa 1954

Frankly Ava was not barefoot long enough as the title suggested. Still a great one.


7, Snow angels 2007

Kate Beckinsale barefoot on snow at the end of the movie, with great close-ups. It would be great if they could release a bluray including how they shot this one!

I would generally agree with your criteria, though I assume for 4 you meant that you like no polish on the toenails, rather than no toenails!

I would also add that while it is fine if the character is barefoot involuntarily (for example, if her shoes and socks are taken away by a villain), but it's even better if she is barefoot by choice in an unusual place.

A few of my favorites:

1. Gator Bait (1973) - Claudia Jennings is a swamp girl who is barefoot through the entire film, except for one early scene where she has sandals.

2. Absolute Vow (2017) - As many as 7 barefoot actresses at one time in some rough hill terrain. They do not all appear in the entire film, but they are always barefoot when they do appear. This is based on a Bible story, but is not really a religious film.

3. Slave Girls From Beyond Infinity (1987) - This is a low-budget sci-fi version of The Most Dangerous Game. The three actresses are barefoot and in skimpy outfits for most of the movie.

4. Captain Kronos, Vampire Hunter (1974) - Caroline Munro is a barefoot peasant girl throughout the entire movie.

5. Till Death (2021) - Megan Fox has to outwit some bad guys in an isolated rural house. She is barefoot for the entire movie, except the opening few minutes, and is even barefoot in the snow in some scenes.

I might have some more films later. I haven't seen all of the films you listed, but I definitely would also recommend Green Mansions and Modern Times.

The only barefoot movies I’ve seen are foot worship pornos

See No Evil--An obscure British movie with Mia Farrow. She's barefooted throughout that last half of it, and gets her feet muddy!
Peter Pan (1924)--Betty Bronson is barefoot through the entire film! She's in reverse "boy drag," but it's still great.

- Rice Girls (la risaia) : about the remake of bitter rice but in color

- Damsel : boring film but Millie Bobby Brown is barefoot a lot

- King Kong 2005 : Naomi Watts barefeet for 3/4 of film

- London Fields 2018 : some interesting barefoot scene of the wonderful Amber Head

- Lady Bloodfight 2016 : girl fighing barefeet (Amy Johnston)

- Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood 2019 : Margaret Qualley show super calloused soles on
Brad Pit car

- Trespass 2011 : Nicole Kidman barefeet for almost all the film (but in the house)
