In a thrilling finale, runner up Marina led on no less than five occasions, before Anna then took three straight votes to snatch the crown. The people have spoken - all hail the new champion!

Maria, meanwhile, took third place by a single vote in her playoff against Kristina. And so to the final podium:

Do you plan to do another elimination game? This one was fun

I absolutely do. It depends on the rate at which we get new models or encores, as 18 girls are required under the current format I operate.

Our new champion Anna was actually the second-newest model in this season after goth Dora, so basically the four models after Dora are guaranteed to appear in Season 6.

That means we currently need 14 girls - either new models or veterans doing an encore - to trigger the next tournament.

Given that I've done five championships in six years, there's clearly still a good stream of contenders. My estimate is that the next Championship might start between autumn 2023 and spring 2024.

Something I've noticed is that Anna is the second winner in three editions to wear denim shorts, so possibly there is some lucky attire at play.

What system did you use to determine the cast for the original season 1? There were a few surprising omissions

By Season 1 do you mean the original "CF Greatest" tournament in 2015 (won by Margarita) or the first "Championship" season in 2017 (won by Natalia)?

For the 2015 one I must confess it was a bit of a mess - it had never been done before and it was really a spur of the moment move. There was a qualification round with 22(?) groups lasting April to October that year, but they have since been deleted by me as they were an awful pollutant in hindsight.

That's why it looks like there were many omissions, with only the knockout battles still on the forum. Almost every model from the start up to student Sofia was included - over 100 in total as I recall. 32 made it to the knockout round.

If you want to run your own contest go ahead. Perhaps a tournament of girls who didn't appear in the 2015 knockouts? There were some really great ones who never made it, like:

From the 2017 reboot onwards, I've just used the usual criteria for inclusion - new models or veteran encores.

I meant the 2015 one yeah. Only makes sense Margarita won, after all she is the greatest. Funny enough I actually don’t think I’m familiar with the winners in 2017, 2019 and 2020. Seems Natalia won on my birthday too

All of the three Championship winners before Anna were awesome in their own way.

Natalia is just gorgeous, and won the first two Championships, defending her title in the second season (2018), having qualified via an autumn encore in the blue coat. I'm sure a review of her shoots from you would go down brilliantly.

As you can see, she was up against tough competition both times.

Valeria (aka Olga?) then took her title a year later, poignantly just a matter of weeks before our world crumbled to the deadly pandemic.

What can I say? Blonde, graceful and legs that go on forever in denim shorts. Perfectomundo.... but perhaps lacking the personality of Margarita and Natalia? Worthy enough, but seems like a "take the money and run" type tbh.

In 2020, Alla won the fourth championship, beating a hippie-ish namesake in a close duel. People, especially our Italian members, went nuts for her due to her somewhat mediterranean looks. A very deserving champ.

Both her and Natalia then went on to complete the podium behind B.U.G model Amelie in the Champion of Champions special I ran during early 2021 in lieu of a CF Championship.

That brings us bang up to date with the new champion Anna. I'm impressed by her performance.

I must confess I never thought she'd make it that far, and I'm not a fan of huge thigh tattoos at all, and IMO she's not the most feminine model.

For that reason I fully expected Marina to sneak it - and so she might well have, before a late fightback from the eventual champ.

Also, the fact that Anna was the only semi-finalist not to have done multiple shoots only underlines what an achievement her Season 5 triumph is. I'd be interested to get your opinion on that.

Being the second-newest model of S5, perhaps she could still be convinced to make an encore appearance and defend her title?

After all, we once saw cute Valya return after three years, so fingers crossed!

From season 1 I recognize a few of them, from season 2 I only recognize Liza lol

I expected Maria to win this one.
