Hello everybody. I would like to know your views about a contest that I would like to launch in the forum.
The most popular models of City Feet, Toes-In-Action, Barefoot Urban Girls, Shoeless Girl Media, and Barefoot Forever (not online anymore, but Linda and Maud are still very popular) competing for the title of Miss Barefooting Universe.

There could be a group stage with eight groups, and then quarter-finals, semi-finals, the final. Six groups would include one model from each of the three current leading sites: City Feet, Toes-In-Action, Barefoot Urban Girls. One group would include Linda and Maud of Barefoot Forever, and Ashley and Rachel of Shoeless Girl Media. The last group would include barefooting celebrities: Olga Gavva, Cecilia Descalza, Yuditza, Dashley Driveby, plus others that you can suggest.
Besides your feedback, I would also like to know if you think that I failed to include very popular models.

My selection of 6 popular models for each of the current leading sites would be the following. I have considered three main criteria:
1) number of appearances on the site;
2) being selected as Featured Model of the Month by WU's Foot Links, or winning other awards;
3) being an exclusive model to the site.
Sorry Feetosopher, I know that the last criterion cuts out great models that worked with you, like Alexis, Uma, Irie, Violacea, Stefania etc., but including them would create confusion. I hope that you agree with that.

You are putting me at a serious handicap yet! .. I mean, my most popular models (you forgot to mention AIKO, EYLUH, KEA..)
have all been featured on Toes-In-Action before starring on BAREFOOT URBAN GIRLS! Also CHAT NOIR made her debut on TIA..
Yet I basically agree with you.. including "TIA/BUG" models would probably mess up things.
I am also OK with the fact that you did not include any model (e.g. VEGA BAUSCH) that gained her popularity mostly thanks to BAREFOOT NUDITY,
and made just occasional appearances on BAREFOOT URBAN GIRLS.

I have only a modest suggestion for you about the timing of your contest: I would warmly recommend to avoid any overlapping with Duffman847's contest.

However I do not think that I will follow your advice about the timing of my contest, sorry. That would mean starting my contest in December. I do not want to wait for so long a time. I think that there is room for two contests running simultaneously. You do not stop promoting your website when Hal or the Russian guy launch a new video in their stores.

this kind of contest is a great idea. If you manage to launch it, I´ll sure take part in it.
Here´s an idea though. Why don´t you let people decide about those lucky six models representing each site? If forum members could choose, say, three CF, BUG, etc. girls, the ones to make it to the tournament itself would be those mentioned most often. I´m bringing this up because in your nomination I miss Natasha http://www.city-feet.com/models/128/view, for instance. Not only is she a super sexy woman, but she also appeared in three sessions (one more than Polina, for example). By the way, wouldn´t it be fair to include barefoot-park girls as well?

That is a really great idea! I am in! But I have one suggestion: for elections of Miss Barefooting Universe, we should type only girls with real barefoot outfit. In my opinion women who participated with shoes in photosessions shouldn't be taken into account.
This is why Janina and Kira from TIA which you've typed to the list, shouldn't be a part of this contest, even though they are really beautiful woman.

I know that Janina and Kira also made a few shootings with shoes at the beginning of their careers, but they have posed without shoes in most shootings. People that are familiar with Toes-In-Action (I joined the site several times before it shifted to hippy/punk models only), with its clips4sale store, and also with Barefoot Nudity site, know well that Janina and Kira are very tough barefooters. Furthermore, they are surely among the most popular Toes-In-Action models of all times, and they appeared as WU's Featured Models of the Month.

Your idea of letting forum members decide who the candidates are seems really complicated to put into practice! My comparison among City Feet, Toes-In-Action and Barefoot Urban Girls revealed that very few forum members know all the three sites equally well. How could a person that has never subscribed to City Feet propose a list of six most popular models from that site? And then there is the risk that everyone will just propose his favourite models from each site, even if they are not very popular. For instance: I love Perlanera of Barefoot Urban Girls http://barefoot-urban-girls.com/free/pics/...22/demo0001.jpg and Sheha of Toes-In-Action http://www.toes-in-action.com/models/sheha.htm, but I do not think that they reached the popularity of any of the six models that I have selected to represent Barefoot Urban Girls and Toes-In-Action.

About Barefoot-Street: I have no idea of the popularity of the site and of its models. Very few seem to pay attention to that site here in the forum, and its webmaster seems totally uninterested to interact with the other forum members. And if I include Barefoot-Street, why should I exclude Barefoot In Russia? I know nothing about the popularity of that site's models, too.. and it has had a rather complicated evolution.

We are on City Feet Forum, after all.
Whatever.. individual freedom is sacred to me.. mine is just an advice, and you have the right of not following it. I will support your contest in any case.

As for bfwatcher's suggestion to let Forum members select the contestants for each site.. I share your worries. It would end up in a mess, and
you would risk to have models with little overall popularity that, by chance, are favoured by 2-3 forum members.
You can maybe ask forum members for changes that they would make to a selection that you propose: if, say, at least 3 (or any other number)
members agree on dropping BUG model X for BUG model Y, you can change the selection accordingly.

Hi, I´m glad that you like Natasha too. In my opinion she can replace any girl who made fewer shoots than her but that´s not the point. I believe that you need to make people more involved. You say that some wouldn´t be able to suggest their three girls because they´ve never subscribed to a particular site. OK, fair enough, but would forum members be willing to vote for any girls in a competition if they didn´t know them and if it was somebody else that nominated them? Honestly, I don´t know.

As for popularity, how do we measure it? If it´s only me who likes Natasha, she´s not very popular. But how do I know without asking others first? And there´s one more thing, in the past Paul liked to shoot with one model several times but then he chose to introduce as many models as possible without any encores. As a result your nomination lists girls who made their last appearance 9 to 14 years ago, which leaves out those 150-odd girls who came later and were unfortunate enough to be part of the "one girl, one shoot" CF period. Which again doesn´t tell us anything about their popularity.

Anyway, the tournament is your project and you make the rules. As I said yesterday, if you launch it, I´ll be there voting. After all, you´ve picked a nice selection of barefoot beauties and they all deserve our attention.

Feetosopher, bfwatcher: thank you very much for your suggestions. I will reflect a bit on them. You are right: forum members must be involved also in the selection of candidates. Only forum members can vote in the contest: their involvement is important to ensure their participation. One solution could be to open a nomination poll at least for each of the three leading sites and for barefoot celebrities. If some models selected by forum members do not convince me, I will ask for the help of the webmasters of the related sites. With the exception of City Feet: Paul visits the forum very rarely, and some forum members surely know the site better than me.
