Here are some pictures I've accumulated over the years of former US first lady Jackie Kennedy Onassis going around barefoot.

I'm not sure of the exact date on some of the photos, but here's what I've pieced together:
-Wearing a shift dress - summer 1967, location unknown (it seems like this would have been when barefooting was becoming an acceptable, if not somewhat offbeat, thing for wealthy women like Jackie to do; can someone shed some light on barefooting in the 60s?

-Wearing short shorts on a porch rail; at the Kennedy house in MA, sometime around summer in the early-mid 1950s

-Wearing white pants; somewhere on the private isle of Skorpios that her husband owned; there are a lot of references to her going barefoot on Skorpios; she even practiced yoga outside in the nude

Anyone else have photos or stories of Jackie O, or other high society barefooters? Some that spring to mind are Lily Pullitzer, and Wendy Vanderbilt, of the Vanderbilt family, who was known to go barefoot all the time.

I've always loved her. I heard a rumor that she actually walked around the White House barefooted!

Don't know that it's a cafe. This pinterest page suggests it is from July 1967. I did some research, and she was vacating in Italy when this photo was taken at a wealthy Italian friend of JFK's, a guy called Dino Pecci-Blunt. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/326299935482528804/

So I think it's at someone's home, although it's hard to say for certain. Any help verifying this would be appreciated. She looks really good in that dress, even without the bare feet.

But her bare feet make it perfect!
