There's this protest against corporate greed that's been going on in downtown Manhattan for a few weeks, and for all the times I wish there were more barefoot hippie girls in New York, it's an answer to my prayers. I've seen lots of girls with no shoes and dirty feet.

I was down there today, and one girl did a protest march through the streets of Manhattan with no shoes on. I didn't get any sole shots, just photos of her marching through the streets barefoot. I wish I had because she had the dirtiest feet I've ever seen. Even the arches of her feet were black, say nothing of her toes and heels.









Here's another photo I found of her (I didn't take it) where you can see how dirty the tops of her feet are.



If I see her again in the next few days, I'll try to get some shots of her incredibly filthy soles.

Thanks for the pics....I wonder when the protesters are going to camp out in front of the white house... the occupant there is the one who plays golf, makes loans to his wall street buddies, and has policies that have created no shovel ready jobs while he and his wife dine on caviar...

I notice in the 1st photo there looks the person in front of her is also barefoot.

From the state of her feet and their ingrained dirt, I'd say she's doing more than simply going barefoot for the occaision.

When I've been on protests in the (more distant) past I've noticed a good number of barefooted women, and usually been so myself. Have some old photos hidden away somewhere too.

From Occupy Boston, I read a report of a barefooted female protestor holding a placard which read "Never be de-feeted!"

Can't find an image of that but I did find this, also apparently from Boston, and I reckon there's a fair chance this could be the same lass!

Yeh...I've heard the occupiers are beginning to focus more of their attention toward the government greed being directed by the White House ... I can't wait to see the pics of barefoot beauties camped in front of the White House!!!

Well, given that my photos were from a week after that arrest photo, I'm guessing she's OK.

She wasn't the only one I saw with no shoes down there, but she definitely had the filthiest feet.

I can't wait for the follow up protest against Big Government Greed in front of the Whitehouse....Let's face it more women will go shoeless because of the senseless policies of the Obama Administration then what's going on down on Wall Street.
