I went to Copenhagen on my own for 4 days completely barefoot (left all my shoes @ home) so I went that way also on the plane.
It was probably the most barefoot friendly city I´ve ever been (although I didn´t go clubbing). No stupid comments from the people at all, and I went in to a few sightseeing places and even 3 nights to Hard Rock Cafe, having dinner in one occassion and no problem at all (@ HRC London I´would probably have problems just to go there on my own, not to mention if I was to be barefoot). The fact that is very barefoot friendly may be is because quite a lot of people go barefoot too, specially women. I saw lots of barefoot woman in the city, specially in the main shoping street, the famous Stroget, (although I have to admit that the weather was very good). But where I saw lots of barefoot women was in Christiania, of course all of them hippies, with dreadlocks, and walking on dirty streets and gravel. Nice city too, I really recomend it. |
