QUOTE (Tibetka @ Jan 9 2011, 04:11 AM)
During climbing up I was walking slowly and carefully. So it wasn't very difficult:) We took photos and admired scenery:)
Nearer to the top my feet were painful. But I have thought I only rest and way back will be ok.
But no))) It was terribly, like hell))) I finished this walking tour almost on all fours:). All that day my feet felt pain, and next morning too. But nothing serious:)

Hi Polina

Your feet will soon get stronger and you will get used to the pain, hope the pain doesn't stop you from becoming a barefooter.

About the endurance tests, now that it's cold maybe you can try some ones that involve heat.

Douring the way back your feet had already tired from the previous climbing up,and also,if the way you walk was in slope, your soles had different load : douring the climbing up the most load is on the heels of feet, douring the climbing down the most load is on the forefoot, probably a bit more tender than heels.

As said by DG2001,continue,obviusly without exaggeration, and your feet will soon get stronger and tougher.

This path should be a verify for test your progress, maybe doing it a regular interval of time.

Congratulations for your strength of will...continue this way...

Thank you for comments!:)

DG, you are right, I think it's a good time for heating tests!
I yet put out cigarettes on my feet, you'll can see it at next part of my moscow photosession. It was very scary at first time:)))) but it's not painfully:)
I'll train with hairdryer too!!

I liked to walking on stone surface. Ya, it was painfully, but it's such good massage))) soon I'll be very healthy))

Clipper, when I'm climbing up I tired to have even load, not only to heels or toes.
But when I'm climbing down nothing can help me)) After this trip my heels are not pain. it's more strong ya:)

Pain doesn't scare me. It's not bad for my health so I'll continue )))

Try..,but I suggest you to not exxaggerate for now,and I would like to clarify that barefooting is a very healthy practice on natural "normal" surfaces : very sharp gravel, stones, thorns, clods, forest ground...can be very painful for tender soles, but are natural surface and our soles should be trained to resist to them, like population that never wear shoes.

Africans, indios and many other population walk barefeet all the life, but certainly does not overheat the soles with an hairdryer...

Exactly : pain,in this case, is the only way to very healthy feet, and healthy is the most important thing, callused leather soles will then be a consequence.

Nice job Polina smile.gif Keep it up
You said earlier "I yet put out cigarettes on my feet, you'll can see it at next part of my moscow photosession. It was very scary at first time:)))) but it's not painfully:)
Rather than hair dryer which would put heat on non calloused arch off foot, do you think you could practice maybe with cigarettes? It's very impressive you said you put one out and wasn't painfull.
Did you put the cigarettes out just for the photo session or do you do it all the time?

I can imagine that, russian winter is colder than italian one,and with much more snow...

We wait for springer and summer too !

Notice : in Russia lives Olga Gavva,a "legend" of barefooting, probably you already know, but if not go to her site :

http://dirtysoles.ucoz.ru/index/0-2

her photos are very interesting...I do not speak russian so I can only watch the photos... sad.gif

Barfuss is a cool film! I saw part of it. Glad it has inspired you Polina!

It's a good thing you don't smoke, it's bad for your health.

Thanks for the recent updates, we'll be looking forward for more.
