I found out earlier this year about an initiative called "Lose yout shoes for human rights", which encourages people to go barefoot on Human Rights Day to raise awareness about human rights and other issues. It appears the name has changed to "Barefoot Against Poverty" and although the main issue seems to be poverty as opposed to human rights, it's still set to happen on Human Rights Day, which is... tomorrow, Friday, December 10th!

They're asking people to send in pictures of their "actions" so make sure to check for updates as the pictures start streaming in tomorrow:

There's already a couple of good ones there. The only ones where you can see dirty soles thus far are guys, but there's still plenty of barefoot girls form all over the world. Actually, since december 10th is pretty cold up here in the north, I expect that most will be latin, african, indian, and asian ladies!!!
