I've only done a the last two winters barefoot, because my mom always made me wear shoes during the winter. I had to wear shoes to work and to school, but other than that I was barefoot, even in the snow. Those winters were about 1000 miles south of my current location, though, so I'm not sure how often I'll be able to be barefoot this year. I'll keep it up as long as I can though.

You are a fantastic girl, hope your boyfriend appreciates your bare feet, otherwise what a waste :-) you are really semething special.
For me a city girl with dirty city feet is much more exciting than country feet that never really gets dirty. My challenge for you is to walk barefoot in the city day after day and avoid washing your feet. How long can you remain barefoot and how dirty can you make your feet after walking in the city?

Please let me add my thanks and admiration. Your pictures and story are terrific.
I really liked the picture of you with the horse. Pictures of being barefoot on a farm are always exciting and I hope you can do a few more before you have to leave---a girl who is comfortable doing farm work in bare feet is a sight to see. Pictures with animals, in a barn, surrounded by farm dirt and hay signifies a girl who is close to nature and comfortable in her own skin.

Did you get any grief at the rodeo riding barefoot?

Again, brilliant, exciting stuff!!!
Thank You, Thank You, Thank you!!!!

Haha, yes, for how dirt-encrusted and exhausted I was, that's actually a very flattering shot.

My callouses aren't actually very thick at all, compared to most other barefooters. I think if I was in the city more, they would be thicker, but since most of what I step on is organic, they never got thick like many barefooters' do.

That might be changing soon, though. My job transferred me to an urban location, so I'll be moving within the week.

My best wishes for you in your new life in the city Sierra, you deserve all the best!

Thank you for sharing, you photos and and of your great life. Since it look like you live in farm country do you like to walk in mud and how often, can we see some photos. As we see you are around horses, and see cow in the back ground in some photos, you walk in manure as well? My ex wife went barefoot a lot when we live on a small farm, she loved stepping in cow pies.

Sierra,

I'm very much enjoying your Diary and your pics. Your willingness to embrace your individuality and your free spirit are completely refreshing. Very few people, women or men, have those qualities, and they do you credit.

I've written some fictional stories about women who go barefoot all the time, much like you, and I would love to hear your opinion on them. They can be found at : http://southerncrossfire44.deviantart.com/

I look forward to hearing more about your adventures in barefooting!
