Excellant Melissa rolleyes.gif
I know I speak for the others in saying we can't wait for you to impress us with
how inured your soles have become.
2 things: what are your YouTube video's listed under? You said glass and cigarettes are no problem. Do you have any video's of this?
And do you have any single female barefooter friends? I'm available wink.gif

All of my barefoot videos (and a few hypnosis vids) are posted here:

http://www.youtube.com/user/barefoothippychick

If you'd like to see my progression as a barefooter, start with MDSA 1A and go from there. For the record, MDSA = Melissa's Dirty Sole Adventures.

As for single friends, my friend Pam is single but in a serious relationship.

Take care and keep em bare!

As a barefoot girl from Texas, I would agree with your statement that summer surfaces are boiling hot; however, I've managed to build up a tolerance over the years so that I'm able to go barefoot during the hottest months of the year. In addition to old fashioned leathery soles, I rely on the dirt on my soles to provide some protection as well as "mind over matter". I discovered early on that if I expected a surface to be too hot or uncomfortable, it usually was; however, if I started with the assumption that I could handle the heat, I usually could.

Sadly, not everyone has my dedication to going barefoot during the day in extreme summer months, but I see a a good number kick off the flip flops once the sun goes down. I also see a good number of barefooters in the early spring and late fall, when temperatures are moderate.

Take care and keep em bare!

Melissa

Hi Melissa

WOW! So you can walk barefoot in Texas? The street pavement must be as hot as a hot iron! Is it a "mind over matter" thing too? So it hurts, and you simply ignore it?

There are three prerequisites for successful barefooting during summers in Texas:

1. Keep moving! Staying in one spot for very long will punish even the hardest soles.

2. Always do it with dirty soles - the dirt serves as a buffer/barrier of sorts and insulates the skin just enough.

3. Mind over matter, just as DG suggests. If you think it's going to hurt, it will. If you think you're up to the challenge, you usually are.

Take care and keep em bare!

Yes, a barefoot woman I met last summer said the exact same thing. She can crush burning cigarettes and crush glass bottles barefooted, even though her soles aren`t as tough as some other barefooters. Itīs all a matter of the mind, she said.

You`ll love that video...she even brings a friend who is totally into it...she crushes glass and all kinds of stuff.

I haven`t added both girls to my site yet so you`ll still have to wait a bit for the video.

PS. I had mentioned her a while back over here: Lil

Hi Melissa

Great post!

What would your advice for a girl who would want to become a full time barefooter? Do you have any tips you'd like to share?

When are you introducing "Lil" ?
After your comments earlier in this post, I've been waiting to see more extreme /

As said before,Janne is a miracle girl : very pretty girls and very tough hard soles !

Quality difficult to match in a girls.

Hal , you hope you will make other videos with Janne, obviously over very hard path.
Or better, hard path for other girls,I think Janne can walk over anything without problems.

You can tell us something about ?
