Now that London has been added to Google Maps' Street View, it occurred to me to check a few places where you can occasionally see women/girls barefooting in warmer weather.

Although I couldn't find anything on Portobello Road, I was not to be disappointed with King's Road!

Go to Google Maps and enter the following address into the search field: "134 King's Road, Chelsea, London, UK". Once it locates said address, choose to view it at street level. You should now be looking at the King's Road branch of Abbey (soon to be renamed Santander).

Now rotate the camera to the east so that you're looking directly down the street. You should see a shop named "Leather Classics" on your right. You'll also see a lady in a lilac dress and a blue hat. Just beyond that lady, walking past "Leather Classics", is a couple. The guy is bald, and wearing a white shirt and blue jeans, and the woman next to him is wearing a black dress. She's the one we're interested in.

At this point go into full screen (you'll see a little button for that in the top right-hand corner of the image) and zoom in to the point just in front of the lady in lilac (you'll see a magnifying glass with a '+' appear in the highlighted field).

You'll then need to adjust the camera so that you see the lady in black. You should see that she is barefoot and appears to be carrying a white pair of shoes. You should also be able to see the reflection of her bare foot in the shop window.

If you want to continue zooming in, you'll need to click in the area in front of the lady in lilac and then adjust the camera accordingly, otherwise you'll be taken to another part of the street.

Admittedly the resolution is wanting, but it still makes for a nice candid; it's quite hard to find photos of London girls barefooting sad.gif

You can see another shot of her if you click twice on the arrow pointing further up the street. You should see a blue van on your right. Move the camera eastwards until you see a group of guys wearing blue shirts walking past a telephone booth, looking at the camera. Behind them you'll see the same woman in black looking at the display of the shop in the background. If you zoom in enough, you'll see she has a tattoo on her foot.

Anyway, just thought I'd share that.

Very nice find. Try browsing through Byron Bay in Australia, NSW. I'm sure you'll find many barefoot girls there. Too bad the resolution of pics from Australia is much worse.

Yep, you're right. The quality is terrible. Such a shame, because the girl with the surfboard on the zebra crossing outside 95 Johnson Street is obviously barefoot. The problem is that the light levels are so messed up it looks like she's a ghost!

Thanks for the info, though smile.gif
