Where's the best place to find them?

I live in London. It sucks for barefoot girls.

I'll take a holiday in the next few weeks so I'd like to find somewhere barefoot girl friendly.

My advice to you is to stay in the UK but head out to the provinces, especially coastal towns like Bournemouth, Portsmouth or further west into Dorset, Devon an so on.. I've noticed that the proximity of the beach means that girls are more likely to wander around the town barefoot during the day. I'm sure it's the same in the north too with Blackpool probably being an excellent barefoot girl centre - lots of drunken hen parties, I've heard. Also come the night time girls in the provinces are more likely to finish an evening out barefoot since they walk home which is only comfortable if they remove their shoes. In London, of course girls take the Tube or book a cab etc. as distances are greater. What we need - and you could start one, Levitucus - is an index of barefootedness for UK towns and cities. You could index it against London with that being '100'. I also live in London and in my experience, if London is 100, then Portsmouth is 110, Bournemouth, 112 and away from the coast, Birmingham is 108.
Of course for one weekend a year London over-indexes. When is that? In a couple of weeks at the Notting Hill Carnival. Look out for girls dancing barefoot in their front yards and on their balconies along the carnival route. The best is when they leave their homes and come out onto the street barefoot.
So, no need to go away, Liviticus, just explore beyond your home city. AND TAKE YOUR CAMERA.

Thanks, Mike. I attended the Carnival last week but didn't catch anyone barefoot. I arrived in the late afternoon and the ground was quite hazardous at this time (broken glass etc.) so maybe I was too late.

I've heard that some cities in Europe, such as Berlin, are good for barefooters. I was in Vienna in 2007 and saw a lot of barefoot people there. Sadly all were men. I'm wondering if there are other cities? My favourite type of girls are hippy types who leave their home without shoes.

A time-machine to go back in the 60's or in the 70's...that's the only solution, I guess smile.gif

Sorry to say going back in time is the best way I know of to see/meet barefoot girls. Grateful Dead shows were 'great'. I met two BBW women at one show in the NJ Meadowlands. Kelly was from MA, her feet were absolutely filthy all over as mine were. We had both spent the day wandering around the hot asphalt parking lot. We met inside the stadium. I offered her a foot massage and her soles were as hard as rocks with a few blisters and strong callouses. We massaged each others feet. She told me her mom threw her off the bed a a few weeks before because her feet were so dirty.
A second BBW was Olga. We too exchanged foot massages. Olga's soles were very soft with dirty soles and clean tops. I saw her later wearing wood sandals. She just kicked them off in the stadium. She never would have been able to handle the hot asphalt in the parking lot.
It wasn't uncommon to see at least half dozen barefooters in Greenwich Village (NYC). There was one woman who NEVER wore footwear whenever I saw her around Washington Square Park. She let me feel her soles, I thought they'd be hard as rocks but to my surprise they were soft. She never had any problems on the searing hot pavement around the city. She was probably a squatter.
I met two ex-girlfriends (they both moved away) while we were barefoot in the Village. I remember saying "I see we like the same style and color shoes!" because Suzy and I had very black feet. Her mom used to go barefoot, but didn't in the city. She had the tough soles to prove it, too. They were from Michigan.
I've only seen one woman barefoot this year, it was in an A&P supermarket. Her feet were clean, she probably just didn't bother putting her shoes on when she got out of her car.

If asked this question back in the late 80's, i'd have said without hesitation....grocery stores.Today, shopping is a sterile experience to say the least....just for groceries. Funny though, I go barefoot every time I shop at Walmart.....every single time....of course, I'm wearing longish jeans or cargo pants, but I'm barefoot every single time. It's dismaying that girls don't feel inclined to go there barefoot as well.

I'd warmly recommend a visit to Bremen (Germany).. the city has probably the highest density of random barefoot beauties in the street in Europe.. wink.gif

Hi, Hal. Is there any particular part of Bremen you recommend? Also, how does Bremen compare to other German cities? I did meet some hippy girls from Munich in London years ago who enjoyed occasional barefooting, and I have also heard Berlin attracts similar alt types.

Sorry, Feetosopher, I was on my phone at 4 AM. So do you know which areas in Bremen to go to and how the city compares to Munich, Berlin? Also, where are good spots in your country? Italian women are actually my favourite.. apart from their bad tempers smile.gif .. I dated one from Milan last year, but sadly she had two boats for feet so it wasn't to be sad.gif

Bremen barefoot girls usually can speak English (more or less), and are usually very friendly towards foreigners! Ask Hal! wink.gif

No problem! biggrin.gif
Hal knows the city much better than me, you'd better ask him.
I've never been to Berlin, and I way prefer Bremen to Munich (not only for its barefoot girls).
There is no "barefoot beauty hot spot" in Italy, as there is no Italian "barefooting culture". Most of the women who are OK with barefooting in Italy have posed for me, I guess. All of them are non-conformist women who dare to stay ahead of the pack.
I don't think that Italian girls have a bad temper.. they just want to stay away from annoying people.. biggrin.gif

I'm off to Auckland, New Zealand imminently - of course, it has a great reputation!

My ideal girlfriend is one who would go for a night out on the town and not take any shoes with her and I have it on good authority that a huge proportion of girls walk barefoot EVERYWHERE in NZ.

Let's say I'm out in the usual "social" type places, what sort of icebreaker would you recommend when approaching a girl who is barefoot and has no shoes (or partner!) in sight?

Any good advice is much appreciated smile.gif

Let us know how it goes, Duffman, I might have to follow you over there if it lives up to its reputation!

Personally, I'd probably ask the girl if it's common and comment that it's something you've never seen at home and that you think it looks cool.
