At risk of sounding disgruntled which I'm not really (CF is still the best foot site on the web), can I suggest that recent updates over the last few months have become a bit safe. The models all look like nice middle class (in UK terms) girls who dress in a very conventionally pretty way, fresh faced, decent and conformist (well, except that they go barefoot).

I'd point to exhibit 'A' from 2011: Jenya and Spring Barefoot Walk
http://www.city-feet.com/updates/1432/view

She looks rebellious, a little dangerous and thus her bare feet fit as part of the look.

Another is Luba from 2007 - NINE YEARS AGO. Exhibit 'B'.
http://www.city-feet.com/updates/645/view

She's swigging strong beer from a can which adds a further air of abandonment (drinking on the metro - what would Boris say?!).

In both shoots the weather looks chilly and grey - perfect for adding incongruity to being barefoot and an added suggestion of recklessness.

So, what I'm saying is, can we have some shoots where the model looks a little less like the girl next door, a little less tame.

Foe example can we have 'Barefoot Goth Girl' or 'Rock Chic' or Barefoot Smoking and Drinking..... you get the idea.

Also wouldn't it have been great if in the latest series, - Two Friends - Nina's friend had kept her shoes on by way of contrast. I realise I'm probably in a minority of one here.

Anyway, interested to hear what people think.

re Luba, OK, it might be red wine but it's 7% alcohol AND she smokes.

This is the stuff.

It's a good suggestion, I think. Also it would be nice to do some "Extreme barefooting" as in the old days, when the girls walked barefoot on broken glass, lots of sharp gravel and even on red hot coals.

Hmm maybe for those as like that kind of thing but it's all so contrived. Better to look as natural as possible - as I've said so many times - as if the cameraman has happened across our barefoot girl doing what she does. Hence best if she never acknowledges the camera.
I think we need to move out of our comfort zone a bit.

Frankly, I like to see all manner of women barefooted--girls next door, models, punks, cosplay, etc.

Iīve been talking here about cold weather content for ages. Yes, it always does the trick for me. As for the recklessness element, Paul should make our barefoot girlīs friend wear just a pair of shredded tights. They would provide a great contrast as well! wink.gif

Yes, I quite like the shredded tights idea - preferably shredded at a rock gig or some such at a small venue. She might even have started off in shoes and lost then dancing. Our barefoot girl would have gone to the gig barefooted anyway of course. Drink would play a part in the loss of the shoes and the carefree attitude to losing them.
Like your thinking, fella, nice one.
PS. I was out on Saturday night with a female friend in a dingy downstairs club and came back from the loo to find her dancing barefoot on the grimy, beer-stained floor - what a great feeling. I normally view other guys jealously as their girlfriends go barefoot but this time it was me. She put them on to go outside but it was England in February.

I have to admit that I have absolutely nothing against the latest models on City Feet, as some of my earliest memories of seeing barefoot girls were in the warm weather and therefore they all had this type of clothing on.

However, as a huge Hard rock & heavy metal lover I have to agree that seeing a few updates of girls who are looking a little bit more rebellious. I'm not particularly into the smoking thing, but hell, why not go for two fetishes in one, lol. Great idea.

P.S. It is indeed only February, and this is indeed England, but I did have my first sighting of a barefoot girl a few weeks ago, so my hopes have been raised for a better year this year :-)

Oh, come on, you can't leave it at that: tell us about her. Where was she, weather conditions, night or day, casual or dressed up, drunk or sober, north or south, old or young? So much to tell.
