"Tondero" is a typical folk dance from Piura, on the northern coast of Peru.

Sadly, the photos don't focus on her too well!
I've heard that all female Peruvian dancers dance barefoot, is this true?

Not all female Peruvian dancers dance barefoot, it depends on the dance, and we have LOTS of different dances here.
