In the German town of Markgröningen each year in late August is celebrated a rural festival,where is tradition make the "Schaferlauf",the "Running of the shepherd".

Is a run made by man and also woman,that run on the field,in vintage clothes and strictly barefoot.

Interesting you found that article on an italian website obviously. Some years ago I lived just a few kilometers away from Markgröningen, I'm not kidding. But I never made it to see one of those races. What a pity But in the evenings I went there to party at the festival But I also always wondered if they had to do some kind of training. But I think they don't. Thats because, when the weather is humid the stubble field is very soft. So it should not be a problem at all. And when the weather is rather dry and the is field kinda harsh, I think the girls are so eager to win the race, just look at their faces, that they have so much adrenaline in their system and thus their feet aren't sensitive at all at that moment But that's just my opinion.

Germany must be wonderful with all those barefoot girls...

Yes you're right At the moment I am living in a city which is situated near the biggest river in Germany. There are many lawns and parks near the water's edge. Girls often take their shoes off and tan in the sun. But much more interesting is that some girls don't put their shoes back on and walk home in their bare feet I wonder if girls do the same in other countries? I have often been to the US but I just remember girls being barefoot around beaches, which is pretty normal, but they always put their shoes back on when they leave the beach.

In the United States, you occasionally see girls who will take their shoes off and leave them off, but it's rare. If the internet is any indication, Germany is the best country for barefoot girls.

Well, here in America, we have a lot of cultural dysfunction. It seems like the Germans are just more free spirited. But then, I could go on all day talking about the insanity of American culture, but that would just bore everyone.

In the United States there are some amish comunity where a lot of country girls go always barefeet,and many famous actress that go barefeet.

if it rained recently stubble field should be soft,but if not stubble can be very hard and sharp...
