I like the barefoot stroll along the businesses. She's probably going out for a leisurely walk with her dog. Probably sees people she knows on the way and doesn't care she is barefoot.

Well yes, always good to see candid shots but I have two caveats:
1. because candid shots are 'stolen' and have to be taken covertly, they often end up being taken from the back - look at all the shots above - which means we don't get to see the girl's face or the top of her feet. Candids are better when taken with the consent of the woman so you can get a shot from any angle (as long as it doesn't descend into posing; that's a real turn off)
2. To me the point and the strength of City Feet is that the style closely mimics candid photography as if the shots are being taken without the girls' knowledge. Therefore the best shoots are often those where the model ignores the camera. Alternatively where the model only looks at the camera as she would a day to day companion. The worst are those where the model plays up to the camera and 'poses'. That destroys the 'suspension of disbelief' we adopt when looking at the stills or movies. My point is that the whole of the City Feet website should broadly look like a bunch of very well taken candids: that remains its key strength.

All we need now is MORE OLDER MODELS.

And well done on the shod friend, barefoot model shoot: good stuff. I'd still like to see a three girl outing: one in boots, one in high heels and one barefoot.

Not that well actually. Only saw four barefooters this summer (besides my girl then )

How are your experiences this year?

I have only seen a few barefooters this year, probably because I have been working a bit and do not have much time to get out. I did hire a few models and had them go barefoot. I'll post them in the future if others are interested.
