I think that you might like what happened to me in the afternoon.
I went to a bar to have a glass of non-alcoholic beer and to read the newspaper. I chose a table by the window and wanted to sit down. At that very moment a waitress ran to it to collect the glass and the coffee cup the previous customer had left there. Automatically I looked down and guess what happened: a pair of bare feet looked back to me. The waitrerss was working barefoot! I should say that we´ve had quite a few days of really hot weather in here, which perhaps is the reason why the girl kicked off her shoes. Needless to say I managed to read just one article because I couldn´t concentrate at all.
What did she look like? A sexy woman 35-40 years old, slim but not skinny, short dark hair, small breasts. She was wearing a purple top, short skirt and a pair of black leggins reaching a few centimeters below the knees. And the feet! Tattoo on the ankle, dark red polish, nice toes, mild, mild bunions. The tops white, the bottoms filthy. I couldn´t take my eyes off her. And the sound her soles were making when she was walking on the tiled floor!
It´ll be tough not to go to the bar tomorrow too!
And you? Any unexpected sightings?

If it was me, I might have struck up a conversation with her. Possibly, I would of said, "Uncomforable shoes," or, "Do you often walk around barefooted?"

It is a shame indeed - you may also have noticed the dearth of pictures in the "UK barefoot girls thread". The main reason is that the UK is now just a couple of gestapo squads short of a police state. There are CCTV cameras every five metres - no joke.

Taking candid photos of barefoot women is frowned upon as foot lovers have a bad rap for some reason (apart from Ted Bundy I really can't think of any dangerous aretifists!).

Yet, hardened criminals who actively ruin lives get all the taxpayer-funded help and ill-deserved sympathy they can handle.

I imagine it's largely the same in the US....

What a brilliant sight that must have been.

I think the reason for the lack of UK barefoot girls this year - as well as the Stasi CCTV thing - is that this summer has been so awful - cloudy, wet and cool with an occasional glimpse of sun.

Envious of all mainland European chums who've seen the sun this year.

That said cool weather barefoot girls are the best.

You are right! And precisely one of these I saw yesterday!
The weather has changed here, all of a sudden we have temperatures below 20 degees (Celsius). It´s cloudy and more often than not it´s raining. Still this girl (25-30 years old, not very tall, slim with long dark hair) was walking in her bare feet. She was wearing a tweed jacket and long green canvas trousers. She had a big bag over her shoulder, which means that her shoes were probably there.
She was walking quite fast and I managed to follow her for a few minutes. Unfortunatelly, in one narrow and almost empty street she was asked by an absent-minded tourist, an ald woman with a map, if she could show her the way to a quite distant sight. Unfortunately, our beauty said "Yes". They started walking real slow, which meant that my adventure was over.

Gosh! Can´t say I´m not envious. Hal, Paul and Fetosopher must have a great job. They see something like that almost every day!

I don't have photos, but I did have a day while on holiday in Boulder, Colorado here in the states that was like I was in Bremen or Freiburg or some other German town full of barefoot girls. I saw six barefoot girls in one afternoon (seven if you count one carrying her birkenstocks). I couldn't believe it, and given that Boulder is at the foot of the Rocky Mountains and can get snow in October, it probably doesn't happen year-round.

Two in particular I remember: one cute little hippie-ish girl walked right past me with no shoes, no toenail polish, nothing. As she passed by me, she lifted her leg to scratch an itch, giving me a great view of her dirty soles.

The other, I swear, looked right out of Toes-In-Action: tall, thin, with long blonde hair (no dreadlocks). I had actually literally bumped into her while riding an inflatable tube in some river rapids earlier in the day, but didn't think anything of her bare feet as she was in the water, but became a bit intrigued when I saw her leave the river park without shoes and with no bag or anything in which to carry shoes.

Later that afternoon, there she was in the center of town, with a bunch of other hippies (male and female). No shoes, no place to carry shoes, and a good 2 kilometers away from where I had seen her on the river. She had walked barefoot all across town all day, and her feet looked like it (completely black like the classic Feethunter "student" picture).

If I hadn't been with my wife, I might have tried to get a photo. I wish I could have gotten a close look at how tough her soles were to see if she was really a 24/7 barefooter.

Either way, for all of my complaining about the USA and its lack of barefoot girls, for one afternoon at least, I was in heaven.
