I am visiting Stuttgart in about 3 weeks time and wondered if anyone had any suggestions for where to go to see some barefoot girls?
Does anyone have any experience of seeing any? I am also planning on doing some barefooting myself and wondered if anyone had any tips on where to go? I believe there are lots of parks and green spaces so I imagine I will be able to do some there although I really want to do it through the streets. Does anyone on here actually do any barefooting themselves? Have you got any tips for confidence? Thanks. |

I've been to Germany 30, 40 times... the main train station, in and around it, underground passages around it, and busy areas nearby are pretty good bets. Bonus if its quite warm, always more.
Confidence: Ive never seen anyone gawking or giving dirty looks to someone barefoot. Im sure it happens, but it's so minimal it's not even to be considered. The culture is overall not hostile in this way. Just do it and you may be surprised how easy it is. |

Thanks, I will be near the station so I will be watching! I believe Schlossplatz has lots of green areas, I imagine I may get lucky here.
As for the confidence thing, I am sure I will be fine. I did a bit in Munich in December last year and although a few people looked I just carried on and enjoyed it. I think the beers helped too lol. |

I have been to the city some years ago, on the road to visiting Hal at his secret headquarters..
I would not define Stuttgart as the Mecca of barefooting beauties (among the German cities I have visited, Bremen - by far - and also Cologne and Munich are much better): this said, places where some female barefooters are most likely to be spotted - especially on sunny days - are Hauptbahnhof, Konigstrasse and Schlossplatz. I am pretty sure that nobody will care if you go barefooted yourself.. German people are usually very respectful of individual freedom (the only categories you might have troubles with are naziskins and Turkish gangs, but those guys pretty much hate everybody, shod or not it does not matter). Enjoy your stay in Stuttgart! -------------------- |

Well that certainly sounds encouraging..both from a viewing and participating part!
Hal, do you have anything to add at all? |

I have actually just done a bit of barefooting tonight..it does feel great. I can't wait to get to Stuttgart and try to spend 4 whole days sans shoes.
