Since setting up my account on here and other social networks and chatting with others who share my interests in barefoot women, I've been thinking more and more about the reason for my preferences towards them and dirty feet in general - A topic I'm calling "Significant Barefoot Sightings". Thinking about it, there are actually quite a few that have contributed to my love of a woman having dirty feet, but this one (Which I talk about in My Latest Blog Post) is the earliest that I can remember!

It involved a young girl (In her teens when I was maybe 6) getting on my bus after being at a sports centre / swimming pool a few towns away from me. I remember her getting on the bus completely barefoot and sitting several seats infront of me. As busses back then had extremely dirty floors it took no time at all for her soles to become covered with dirt and as she curled her feet up behind her I was able to stare quite openly at the soles of her feet, which were now a deep shade of black. I remember that while everyone else on the bus looked at her in disgust, the sight made me feel very different indeed!

So, even though I liked bare feet and even barefoot women a long time before this event, I remember this as the day when my preferences for feet actually expanded into a whole new area, where seeing the soles of a womans feet as filthy as possible was even more exciting than seeing them clean!

Did anyone else have a similar experience?

When I was 12 years old ( => hormones in full swing! ) I got totally hypnotized by four super-hot German tourists in their 20s dancing barefooted in micro bikinis on the ultra-filthy & ultra-greasy deck of a ferry boat to Sardinia Island (Italy), to the sound of "You should be dancing" by Bee Gees, with the sun setting.
They sure had been around barefooted for the entire day, as their soles were pitch black!
That experience made it definitively clear to me that I was hopelessly into hot, dirty-soled barefoot beauties!

Those Germans sure do a great job of getting their feet filthy don't they? I recall that most of the girls in photos on those early sites that I mentioned in a previous post were of German origin.

Sounds like you had the Perfect first experience - Well, except for the fact you had to enjoy it while listenting to the Bee Gee's of course, LOL

When I moved from NYC to New England it was common to see people barefoot in stores, on the roads (few sidewalks in towns) in fast foods, etc. We were required to wear shoes in high school, many girls wore sandals.
One girl lived close to me. While I never saw her soles filthy dirty there were very tough and calloused. She always walked around town barefoot. After I finished taking a test in Earth Science in my freshman year I went to the restroom. Another girl was returning from the restroom shuffling her bare and dirty feet down the hall. She ditched her sandals under her desk. She loved going barefoot and I remember sitting in back of her in Biology the following year. She propped her feet out of her sandals revealing very dirty soles with a nice set of white callouses through the black dirt.
When I moved back o NYC I met two ex-girlfriends (both moved away) while we were both barefoot on the street in Greenwich Village. I said to one woman, Suzy, "I see we like the same style and color shoes!" as we both had filthy black feet (tops, sides and soles) after barefooting all day. She and her mom formerly lived in the Midwest. Mom didn't go barefoot in the city but she did have very tough, calloused soles. The other gf also had very dirty soles and enjoyed standing on my feet if we were in a line, etc. making my tops filthy dirty.
I really enjoyed Grateful Dead shows. At one in the NJ Meadowlands I met Kelly, a bbw whose soles felt as hard as rocks and they were absolutely filthy all over. We massaged each others feet and ended up with a small pile of dirt which loosened from the hand contact. So much dirt after being barefoot in the hot parking lot all day. Another bbw Olga and I exchanged foot massages. Her soles were very soft, no callouses but somewhat dirty. I later saw Olga with wood sandals on, she apparently just took them off at her seat to use the restroom. These shows were great for meeting other fulltime barefooters.
Sadly the trend has moved away from going barefoot. People literally are killing each other over the latest sneakers. One seldom sees another barefoot in the store, on the city streets, etc.

Great that you remember which song they danced to! I love BeeGees but prefer their stuff from the 60s -- not that much into their disco songs.

When it comes to female barefooting, Germany is the go-to country.. with Switzerland a close second (especially the German-speaking area).
My Italian BAREFOOT URBAN GIRLS are sadly the exception in a country plagued with shoe-fixated women..

i am in New Zealand at the moment i was led to beleve....that its where lots go barefoot i wood say kids ...men ....yes...... girls ...not so much i wood say in some parts of the uk i see more barefoot girls ....Australia wen i was there i saw lots .....never been to Germany......may be i should go if lots of barefoots.......i have met German.....travels.barefoot ....in the past

I've had a few memorable ones through the years.

In my early teens, there was a girl in the neighborhood who would hang out and, as the summer progressed, would stop wearing shoes in the streets. One summer, it seemed she never had shoes on, and you could see the tips of her toes develop dark streaks as she hung out in the street. One evening, she finally lifted up her foot to show it, while telling us, "my feet are so dirty, especially my toes". That was my first memorable encounter with dirty bare feet, and I loved it.

Later, around when I was 18, I went to a Phish show, middle of winter, in an arena in the middle of the city. In the seats near me were several barefoot girls (who I'm pretty sure had worn shoes to the show, but took them off, but whatever). One had dreadlocks and was smoking marijuana from a massive bong near me. Her legs were crossed, and the filthy sole of her foot was pointed at me. I was high as a kite myself, and was transfixed. It's probably the beginning of my infatuation with barefoot hippie girls (the photo I found on "Sweet Street Feet" that we discussed in the other thread just reinforced it).

College had a lot of barefoot girls, but in a rural setting, you didn't see much beyond lightly soiled feet, certainly no hardcore street feet.

After college, moved to NYC. Nothing much for years...until Occupy Wall Street, when seemingly every anarchist, punk, and hippie in the USA descended on lower Manhattan, where I worked. I remember one dreadlocked, pierced, tattooed hippie chick who I did see once in a pair of Toms, but over 3 weeks or so, was barefoot every other time I saw her. I honestly don't know why she even bothered bringing shoes with her, as she did all of the marches through the streets barefoot. I have never seen feet so filthy. Her arches, her toenails, her ankles, all dirty, along with the jet-black soles.

Then the next year, on the OWS anniversary, there was a really sexy hippie girl I saw with cute face, a tight top with a bare midriff, and a long patchwork skirt, and no shoes. She must have stepped on glass or something, because she sat down to wrap part of her right foot in a tape bandage, which gave me a good look at her dirty toes. Then, later that night after I had gone home to my neighborhood (not close to downtown Manhattan), I saw her again on the street walking past me! She was still barefoot (bandage still on her foot), and when I stopped to look back, her soles were as black as you might expect. I guess she had gotten on the subway barefoot and taken it to my neighborhood, as it would have been a very long walk, even tougher barefoot. But either option (walk or subway) would have just made her soles as filthy as imaginable.

Yeah, these sightings were good, but they don't compare to what appears to be the scene every day in the summer in German cities. Well, I can always take a summer trip, I suppose....

Feetosopher.......where in Germany.....is your favorite place......for spotting barefooters

Ciao amico.. among the different German cities I have been to, Bremen is surely the top as far as female barefooters are concerned (I guess Hal and subscribers to Toes-In-Action would agree with me.. ).
But also Munich and Cologne are OK, and (on the basis of my limited experience) female barefooters there tend to be less frequent but definitely more of the "poshy" type, which I love most.

Have you ever been to Freiburg? Must check it, it's great place! I've never been to Bremen in the summer thus can't compare, maybe Hal can say something about them?

And what about winter barebooting, is there any German city you know where one can often spot barefooters in the winter?

Unfortunately not, but I have been told that Freiburg is a great place to spot female barefooters, and I remember that one of the first websites about barefooting, "The Feethunter", often posted candids taken in Freiburg.
I hate winter, so Germany is surely not on my list of preferred destinations in this season.. yet I doubt that you would find many barefooters around in any German city in this period..

A couple of favorites for me:

When I was about 19 or 20, I lived in a big apartment complex. One day, this nice looking lady moved into one of the apartments near mine. She was probably about 35-40, not super-model gorgeous, but attractive. I think she was a single mom, since there were a couple of kids around, but I didn't see an adult male (other than the moving guys).
Anyway, the important thing is, she was unloading the moving truck barefoot! I watched from my window for quite awhile, and she was barefoot the whole time. Moving boxes and furniture, walking back and forth across the parking lot, and she never seemed to have any care about being barefoot.
A few weeks later, I was getting in my car to go to work, and she walked past carrying out the trash, and she was barefoot again! Picture it: it was a very hot summer day, close to 100 degrees F, and she was walking barefoot over blacktop pavement like it was carpet.
Unfortunately, because of my age at the time, I never got to know her (what would a 20 year old guy and a 30 something single mom have in common?) I was too old to hang out with her kids, either, so there was just no way to connect. I moved out a couple of months later, anyway, but I still have those two wonderful memories.

A couple of years later, I was working in a video rental store, and it was a slow weekday afternoon. This young blonde comes in (again, not drop-dead beautiful, but cute), and she's barefoot. There was probably some sign on the door about "No Bare Feet," but I sure wasn't going to enforce that rule!
So, it got even better, because she asked for some recommendations. Since the store wasn't busy, I was able to spend several minutes walking around with her, pointing out some movies she might like. Nothing else ever came of it, but I like to think that her positive experience going barefoot in the video store encouraged her to go barefoot in other public places.

I've actually seen quite a few women moving furniture barefoot (or often also in flip flops). There are loads of university students living in my neighbourhood, so there are basically people moving in and out of houses all the time. In summer you can often see people moving and all their (female) friends helping, and many of them being barefoot.
Unfortunately it is quite careless to do this --- I worked in a moving company for about 5 years and you can have serious injuries/accidents even when wearing shoes (furniture or boxes falling onto your feet, etc.). I love seeing those women move furniture in their bare feet but also cringe at the thought of what could happen.

I can't really think of a German city where you can regularly spot barefoot women in winter --- except maybe during an extremely mild/sunny winter --- but I guess you'd have to be extremely lucky.

About Freiburg: I've only been there once about 15 years ago (for a couple of days). It was deffo a barefoot fest --- we went to the Tour de France event (yes, it went through Freiburg in 2000) and I remember spotting all kinds of barefoot girls on the way there and back. Hopefully it is still similar nowadays.
Btw, Freiburg is the German city with the most sunny days per year --- so I guess you will be able to spot more girls there than anywhere else. Weather in North Germany can also be quite terrible during summer (suddenly two weeks of wind, rain and cold) --- ask The Feetosopher about it
