This picture was in the original selection of "The Feethunter".
He mainly took candids of women barefooting in the street, and rare "posed" shots like this one, always with the faces cut out.
"Faceless pics" have always been a major turn-off for me.. I'd really like to know if there are other forum members who have the same.. er.. "problem"..

I would have preferred to see the face too, but that was probably the compromise that Feethunter made in order to get the photo, was to cut her face out to protect her privacy.

Even without the face, the ridiculously filthy feet are just too good to not love the photo. I'm glad the Feethunter recognized that and asked for the photo. And I'm really glad that the hippie girl was happy to show off those feet.

I have no problems in admitting that my personal tastes have surely been "spoiled" by the fact that I have shot around 130 different barefoot (and.. more than barefoot! ) girls in the last 10 years.. all of them super-happy to show their faces.
This said, I guess that when The Feethunter took that picture (probably in the mid-90s), ending up on internet was probably a no-no for many girls.. so all my respect for him, of course..

Like many others on here, my preference for feet began back in my childhood - as far back as I can remember. Like quite a few aretifists (such as Andy Warhol, Quentin Tarantino and Elvis Presley) I was relatively gifted and precocious for my age - never afraid to be different or stand for what I believed in, even if it meant alienating a few people along the way!

As there are accomplised artists on both sides of my family, I suppose the appreciation of bodily aesthetics has always been in my blood. I'd say that the real spark was around the age of 10 when my Year 6 (7th grade?) teacher went through a phase of going barefoot towards the end of the day.

Perhaps it was the shock value of an authority figure going barefoot that proved the catalyst, but there was a feeling deep down that I couldn't explain.... yet

A combination of this with the knowledge of sensory pleasures that barefooting can bring matured over the years, and was aided by the onset of puberty, which truly hit around the time that City Feet was launched in the summer of 2003.

There was also Barfusszone run by a German guy called Franco (I think). The genesis of my love for miniskirts and bare feet was with this classic picture.

This was taken back in 2000 on a hot summer's day in Vienna, and for the very first time my mind generated a vivid story in which a lady who can brave hot pavement makes a choice to leave the house without shoes. By extension it also puts aretifists in a bad light, undermiming the efforts of CF to improve the image of people like us.

Does anyone remember "Subgirl?" She had a site that was more S&M related, but she loved posing with her feet, although usually in bondage/foot worship situations (which are not my cup of tea).
But she did have a section on her site devoted to "Dirty Feet," where she and other models walked, and then posed, in various scenarios which made their feet extremely dirty (railroad yards, underground parking garages, and the like).

I actually contacted her once with a suggestion for a photo shoot and she actually went through with it! I enjoy the "Cinderella sitings," girls walking around wearing only one shoe. Since she had that "extreme" angle in her shoots, I thought she would enjoy such a shoot - and she did it! An entire photo shoot (about 80 photos) of her walking around a large American city wearing just one shoe (her other foot bare). There were shots of her getting cat calls from cars going by, her going to Starbucks, her walking down a filthy sidewalk, just wearing one shoe.

There was another site based in Zurich that featured barefoot girls walking through train stations, city streets, city rooftops, underground parking garages, all in bare feet. That site has vanished too. It really says something when you can find more "baby diaper fetish" and "fat girl fetish" and "feeding eggs fetish" sites than dirty feet sites.

The format and the concepts were perfect for me...the models were ideal, and Julia, she of the yellow top and the black mini skirt made me a fan for life.
I also love Hal's Toes in Action, especially the great Katja....and Feetosopher's pics of urban barefooters is sublime. Oh, and I can't leave out the "Slim Brunette in the Underground"..Stella, of course.
I went on the Mousepad for a while because of a certain blonde from Nashville with a kazillion dirty barefoot pictures...all very, very nice....but she was insulted by some jerk on one of her Mousepad pages, and disavowed any interest at all in anymore barefoot pics made of her...and seemed to regard even her fans afterwards as low life creeps...all because of one insulting, jerk-off who offended her. I never bother with the Mousepad anymore because they seem to be anti-dirty soles there. The overwhelming majority of pictures seem to be pink, clean and sterile almost...models that wouldn't be caught dead walking barefoot in public. Nothing like what I come to City Feet for in any way.

Sites with girls that are only barefoot do not interest me: I do not pay money to see clothed barefoot girls, I can go to the lake and see them in bikini (but not topless, because it is prohibited).
I have joined Nude In Public for some months because the models are barefoot, but I have left because the models do not do extreme things, and some friends have told me that to stay nude in public is not prohibited in the countries where they do the sessions (Czech Republic, Hungary, Germany), and so for me it is not exciting.
I have joined Barefoot Nudity because The Feetosopher is from my city (Mantova), many of his models are Italian and do extreme things, and he does the sessions in my country, Italy, where to stay nude in public is prohibited.
I think that The Feetosopher is a genius, a great artist and a corageous man: there is nobody who does the things that he does in Italy, and the quality of his photos and videos is fantastic.

I take the occasion to clarify a couple of aspects.
I have maximum respect for Jan Vels and what he created at Nude-In-Public and NIP Activity. His site and BAREFOOT NUDITY probably cater to consumer groups which have a rather limited "overlap area", and sure I cannot compete with a site which has been around since 1998. What nudescalze says is true, however. Shootings are held in "nudity-friendly" places, and the people involved (models, photo-videographers, assistants) face no serious risks. A BAREFOOT NUDITY model, ELLY, actually posed also for NIP Activity in a Czech city, and told me that people's reactions are at worst puzzled, but often extremely amused, nobody goes berserk and calls the police, and anyway the worst case scenario would be the cops coming and politely asking you to cover up.
Things in Italy are completely different. Even if no law prohibits in a clear and explicit way to be nude in public (Italian laws about everything having to do with nudity and sex make reference to hazy and undefined concepts like "obscenity" and "common sense of decency", leaving the ground open for the interpretation of individual courts, which is usually anti-nudity and anti-sex), if my models get "caught in the act" by the wrong person, he/she would surely call the police, and both the models and me would face extremely unpleasant developments, which could go from a trip to the police station and registration into their files, to possible legal action and a trial in court, which could end up with everything from a fine up to 300 Euros or up to three years in jail.
This is why both me and the models pay maximum attention not to be "picked" by anybody. Sessions for BAREFOOT NUDITY require hours of study, careful planning, prudence, intelligence and rapidity.

All my respect for "clothed barefooting models", of course.. but basically ANY GIRL who is good looking and not uncomfortable with barefooting can pose for sites like BAREFOOT URBAN GIRLS, City Feet or Toes-In-Action.
Posing for BAREFOOT NUDITY, instead, requires truly outstanding qualities (total body control, rapidity, vision, intelligence, prudence, courage), which go far beyond sheer exhibitionism and obvious barefooting skills.

I was always into barefoot girls, even as a young kid, but I didn't get a chance to really "play" on the internet until about 1998. Given my interests, I just typed "barefoot" in the search engine, and BAM, why mind was blown wide open!

I think the first site I visited was probably the Dirty Sole Society, which seemed awesome, because hey, this is where women who like to go barefoot are proclaiming it. I quickly realized that I was not welcome there, which was a huge disappointment, but there were plenty of other fish in the sea. It worked out for the best anyway, since the actual female members of the DSS seemed to be minimal. It was dominated by obnoxious middle-aged men acting as white knights to protect their (very few) female members.

Moving on to the good stuff, I agree that dirty, outdoor bare feet were rare in those days, but an early favorite was Dennis Cramer's Mara site. His videos had their flaws, but he was one of the first to really make this stuff available, and even VHS quality was better than most internet video at the time.

As for the others, I think they've been mentioned: Parrotsites and Sweetstreetfeet were pretty big deals. jwdf88 also mentioned Wild Kitty's Barefoot Playground, which was great, because it was one of the first sites where the guy focused on his girlfriend/wife in outdoor barefoot adventures (and she showed her face).

Does anyone know if any of Wild Kitty's old pics can still be found anywhere? It would be great to see some of those again, even if the photo quality is dubious.

The old sites really didn't have the quality or the slickness of today's best sites (which include City Feet and the Feetosopher's sites, for sure) but there was a charm to them, and the excitement of new discoveries all the time. It was like a frontier, that's now been tamed a bit.

Being a lifetime lover of barefoot girls (in public or otherwise), I remember first going to a site that had to do with "Apartment House Wrestling" purely ficticious "wrestling matches" between girls in bikini's in an apartment setting.
