I always do my best to push my paysites BEYOND A PURELY COMMERCIAL DIMENSION. Of course this implies risks.. not everybody can understand and enjoy "non-conventional" adult stuff.
And there is another problem. Many people nowadays are used to "eat" tons of pics and vids for free.. so when they join a paysite, they just want to SEE millions of items.. which in fact they will never be able to WATCH and actually ENJOY!!!
The way in which pictures and videos are often "enjoyed" nowadays leaves an "old school pornographer" like me quite puzzled.. people view this stuff like they would be eating popcorns, often from the screens of their cellphones..
Back when I started, we had just magazines and VHS.. and we were used to WATCH AND ENJOY EACH SINGLE PICTURE AND VIDEO!!!
I have ALWAYS PRIVILEGED QUALITY OVER QUANTITY.. and I will NEVER CHANGE such approach. That's probably the reason why my sites are appreciated only by the TRUE CONNOISSEURS OF BAREFOOT BEAUTY and EROTICA.
Probably this is costing me some customers.. but you cannot please everybody..

I think you have a great point here, my friend. Barefoot pics and other material are so plentiful now that we often take it for granted.Like you, I'm old enough to remember when the only real sources of foot pics were magazines and some catalogs, and VHS (and I guess I was lucky to have VHS, since older foot fans wouldn't have had that, either!). You're right, when the material was more rare, you savored it more. I'm not saying that having a ton of material to choose from is bad, but we should take time to appreciate it, instead of just jumping to the next click right away.

I remember enjoying magazines and especially fashion catalogues back in the 1980s. I would have never dreamed that one day there would be millions of (free) foot photos available. Those days I was happy when I found 2-3 good pictures per week

Of course from a "consumer" standpoint having this bonanza of pics & vids of barefooting beauties for free has a lot of positive aspects.
Back in the 80s, when I was a teenager, you could only hope to stumble on a random barefoot woman in the street, and try to "chase" her (the real thing).. or to stumble on a magazine, TV program, or movie, featuring female barefooting action (the "virtual" remedy). Both events were definitely rare in my area (rural Northern Italy).
In my case, being especially into "barefoot & naked" beauties, the chances to have your heyday were even fewer. Italian adult-oriented magazines in the 80s were full of models in stockings & high heels. When I was 19 (it was 1988!), I discovered that an international bookstore in Bologna sold British and American adult magazines.. but buying stuff there meant 2+2 hours by train, and you had to learn by "trial and error" which titles had the highest "barefoot density". Paul Raymond's "Fiesta", "Club International" and "Man Only", plus of course Mavety's "Leg Show", were the best among the few titles available.. later The Score Group added "Leg Sex". Yet "dirty-soled nudity" layouts were extremely rare, and you had to spend huge sums (for a college student at least), as imported adult magazines had outrageous prices in Italy!
So the possibility to surf in internet, hunting for the pioneer websites dealing with barefooting and dirty feet, was an ultra-welcome development also in my life.. even if I was forced to do it for years from my workplace, as an internet connection became available where I live only 3 years ago! (this is Italy, my friend.. ).
The internet pioneers (like Arnaud Ferrand with "Postmodern Femmes", then Paul with City Feet and my friend Hal Heaven with Toes-In-Action) were rewarded for their courage and ability by instant success.. but it is really difficult to reach a comparable success nowadays (no matter what the quality of your stuff is), as there are thousands of sites and zillions of pics & vids on the web.. and as a good share of these is free, it is even more difficult to convince people that it is fair to ask for a little money to deliver "above average" quality stuff.
I don't know if vendors of adult stuff (including those focusing on the niche of our interest) will go bust in the end, destroyed by amateurs posting pics & vids of their wives & friends on free web spaces.. but I do believe that this risk exists.
In my case, I have started to run my paysites mainly for passion.. if my goal had been making money, I wouldn't even have started.
Especially BAREFOOT NUDITY is passion-driven: it is the niche concept brought to the extreme.. and to me, it is my deepest erotic obsession turned into reality, a revenge for years of frustration searching in magazines, videos and websites what was so rare.. real-life barefooters willing to bare more than their feet!
Probably the subscribers to BAREFOOT NUDITY will remain few.. but I frankly don't give a damn.. I made it at last, and it's here to stay!

Well, you are definitely among the pioneers of the web-revolution of foot fetish & barefoot lifestyle.. and I feel privileged to have played a (complementary) role in it, through my contributions to Toes-In-Action..

I definitely remember those days of skimming through magazines looking for barefoot shots of pretty ladies. When you found a really good one, the image would stick with you, too. I still remember some of those pics from the old days, even though the quality probably was terrible compared to today.

I also enjoyed bare feet in comic books, especially before I was old enough to buy the more adult magazines. I always appreciated the artists who drew really good bare feet. Plus, it was fun to fantasize about, because girls in comics would be barefoot in situations you would never see in real life!

As I think about it, maybe the best thing about the internet is how it showed me that I was not "the only one." As a kid, I realized that no one around me was as interested in feet as I was, so I just figured I was weird. Now, I know that there are a lot of guys (and even a few women) like me, all over the world.

I thought that I was the total weirdo.. the first time I put the words "bare feet" on Yahoo! (Google was not yet active as a search engine, it was 1997!), to discover that there were THOUSANDS of entries.. I realized that fellow enthusiasts (whose existence I had only imagined, otherwise magazines like Leg Show would not have been published) WERE ALL AROUND ME.. I WAS NOT ALONE WITH MY OBSESSION ANYMORE!!!

^ I can totally relate to the last two entries --- I guess almost all foot-lovers can. Finding out that there were dozens of Yahoo-Groups, websites and chat rooms back in the mid-to-late-90s was absolutely mind blowing. Before that I was pretty closed about my love for bare feet but after I discovered those websites I was blown away and soon started posting my own material (those days still photos of my girlfriend's beautiful feet ;-) ).

I also have a couple of old catalogue/advertisement pictures in my head that I now regret having thrown away about 20 years ago. One sticks in my mind with a close-up of a woman's bare feet vacuum cleaning a dirty floor whilest standing on tip-toes. Her feet were really beautiful, I guess even by today's standards. Ah, fond memories.

I remember like it was today when I discovered Toes-In-Action, mate.. via the links page of Barefoot Forever. It was at the end of 2005. I was so impressed that we had developed so similar an approach to barefootography without knowing each other, and living hundreds of miles apart. Great minds think alike.. and love to team up.. it was obvious that we had to cooperate some day..
I have thrown away something I should not have myself, but luckily I have kept probably 95% of the (rather rare) good finds.. maybe I should scan some and post them here on the forum..
