QUOTE (b'ftlvr2008)
Umm, probly many

Really?!

This is a very interesting answer, and the real reason why I posted all of this.
It honestly touches us ("me", and "her" when I will show her this post), but ... not so much, as she did that run without any effort.

So saturday we went to a harder training, that's HIGH pressure on single points.
I will post the video: again with the same honesty, tell me how much barefooters you do know able to do that.

(We did it on the soft arch too, that's the situation where she has been suddenly and unexpected stopped and outdid months ago, so please consider psychological implication ... or maybe better DON'T: no alibi.)

This is maybe the most important training, to deal with 24/7 barefooting: if you're used to bear all of your weight on a little sole point, you'd never vacillate while WALKING, wherever you'd do it. We invented it years ago, after she found herself in trouble climbing a steep embankment, because all of points of support were ponted stones the embankment was made of.

All good points,
Flowwer, so when is the next update?
What is next for her extreme session?
Can't wait to see the next video,,  wink.gif

As above ... try to do asap.
Please comment it as I'd like this to be an exchange, not a show. smile.gif

QUOTE (Clipper)
But there is another open question : how she can walk over very sharp things, with soft soles, without get any "phisical hurt" : like cut, blister or bad abrasion.

Really don't know, Clipper.
First of all consider that she DOES hurt herself .. this is why we train to handle this too (the thumbtack is an example).
But it happens rarely.
If I'd be able to run that way on stones, I'd destroy my soles with blisters in doing it, I'm sure.
This idea could help: I think that human body develops protection where needed.
However, how she can go barefoot that way is a little mystery.
Think to Fee's barefooting, as appeared on this site ... she's a wonderful barefooter, but with very callous soles she's in clear trouble over those stones (I say it with much RESPECT: none of us would probably be able to STAND where she walks). While that situation, that's "normal walking", wouldn't bother my girl, and her soft soles, at all.
You could say she pretend: well ... no one could pretend to be tall smile.gif ... or to walk barefoot without feeling ANY pain for miles on stones.

However, this post is interesting. I will read to her when, in a few weeks, she well be without shoes for days in the woods. So I'd like very much to hear other voices.

Sorry but I disagree with this point.
I reviewed the videos of Fee : she do not have any problem with gravel / rock path, she only flinch when climbing over piles of stones and rocks, due to balance problem, but not due to feet problem.
On plains she walk like on a carpet, and in the sole close up is clear that her soles do not have any marks.

If your girl can do similar path with soft soles is an "exceptional" things, difficoult to explain...

I fully respect your opinion, as it's obvious and due do to, but don't agree.

Don't want to insist as I'd have to write ... another person's name, who maybe is not interested at all in this kind of speeches, and moreover talk about a "protected content" (by Toes In Action).

But my girlfriend and me we're highly interested in barefootin' toughness, it's our primary and common shared passion (more than many other ones, but this one is the main one.... and it's wonderful to us sharing it believe me).

So let's say it this way: in a few days, we'll find a railway embankment covered of the same kind of stones and I will shoot her walking there. Then, if you want to buy T.I.A.'s clip, you could write here if you notice any difference, focusing on the sentence "walking like on a soft carpet". smile.gif If you don't, obviously no problem! But we both like barefootin' investigation, so we however thank you and anybody else who wants to ... judje this light competition smile.gif.

(We also owe a RUN on such a terrain, to an old friend, so we'd combine the two thinhs ...)

Thanks again for sharing, Clipper!

Barefooting is, first of all,a very healty way of life,so,a part from tough or soft feet, continue this way, that is the right way.

I can not wait to see it (videos will be better...),I will see, compare with other videos, like the one of Fee,and I will wrote my simply opinion.
It will be a "friendly competition",in order to understand more about conditioning of soles...
