I was driving home last night and my wife suggested we stop for dinner at this Korean restaurant we have driven by many times but never tried. When we entered they had slippers for all the guests to wear and much to my surprise all the waitresses were barefoot. Now I live in Phnom Penh and this was a high end ($20+ per person) place, but I don't see this being possible in the West. I was wondering if this is the norm in Korea?

Hi Joseph!

Where do you live? Here in Moscow $20 for person is relatively cheap place.

Cambodia. There is a huge gulf between the haves and have nots here with a large portion of the population earning only a few dollars a day. For a Westerner making Western money a $20 meal is no problem, but for a Cambodian it may be a weeks wages.
