| Se the photos of this sites : http://www.flickr.com/photos/barefoot_1234/ are of people living in Africa ,they never wear shoes in the all live ! In particular the photos dated " 14 ott 2009" are of a young girls (you can also see the red shirt) with about 1/2 inches of callus over the heels and the forefront of the foot ! |

| These are excellent example of how the body adapts to its environment. The residents in Madagascar go barefoot all the time and their soles build up tough skin to protect itself. This occurs over time and most people who try barefooting on hot pavement end up with blisters and believe it is bad for them. Adaptation takes time and the Madagascar people are perfectly comfortable sans footwear. Another excellent example is Andy Jens who has been barefoot for years in India and other countries. |
