| Here's a gal I met years ago. She grew up in the city. She used to run around the nieghbor hood barefoot all the time. Since the alleys were gravel, concrete and broken glass, she just used to walking on everything rather than wear shoes. She told me she wanted a boyfriend who just let go barefoot 24/7. She enjoyed every bit of never wearing shoes, from leather tough soles to just as black as she could get them. SHe said she went to the fair and a hot dog on the ground and stepped on it just squish it under her feet. As you can see the roughest gravel didn't bother her. She not only walked on broken glass, but would break it barefoot. Notice the ones as she's walking on the broken glass. All the sharp points are stick UP yet that didn't even bother her. And she even put out cigarettes barefoot. Would you call an "extreme barefooter"? |

| Were to start. Glad everybody appreciates them, I'll keep the photo's coming. She had very leathery tough soles, not super rough but you could they were thick and very muscularly strong. I had problems walking on the ballast rocks with boots on and they really didn't phase her. Just the fact it slid and footing was tricky. The standing on breaking the glass was her idea, she just started doing it and said "she this". As you notice in one were she's walking on glass. Next to her right foot is a bottle bottom with the sharp jagged points upward and she stands right on it without a comment. I love the way her feet contour around even the most irregular rough surfaces and she took it all in stride. There is one shot I can't find were she her foot on the pile of broken bottles, she lifts her other foot and stand with all her weight on the jagged glass and it cracked & broke under her weight. |

| Probably the most ... touching pics ever seen, for my tastes. Or at least among the most touching ones. Wonderful gal, WONDERFUL legs, incredibly muscular and strong feet... well, the top of the top. "But" ... (i'm NOT querying anything, it has to be CLEAR ... I'm exposing MY PERSONAL experience) ... well, I owe this passion to a 3-years-long relationship (unfortunately for ME and for ... you too, guys before the beginning of Internet, of digital cameras and of a certain "photography culture") with a full time barefooter, moreover with the (enormous) fetish of "her own barefoot strength". We spent any second of our time and we invested any ounce of what we had in making her able to become the strongest barefooter possibile ... complete invulnerability (to "normal" things) was our dream, and at a certain time we thought we reached it. Well, she could walk forever, without even flinching, on stones similar to the ones shown in those pics, and even run on them, probably for minutes, before being weakened by the blows in her soles. But ... she couldn't deal with ... the bottom of a broken bottle, posed on the ground with the lower part and with broken spikes turned on her bare soles! Not without being injured, and not avoiding injures then draining her strength, and her capability to stay barefoot. I know because we tried, obviously ... we tried ANYthing. So ... well ... i really can't imagine how strong the girl in the pics was ... and mainly "HOW" did she do that. Many compliments and thanks for your ... great gift, even if I say it with a bitter aftertaste  : you somehow managed to ... win a sort of contest, through the years, between your friend & my ex. Not an easy thing at all, I ensure you.  |

| Nice story and thanks for the input flowwer. AS you yours was before alot of photography, so Id guess no photo's to share. What did all try. What she able to walk on. Did she ever try cigarettes? How thick and tough did soles get? Did they get real black? And again, Im glad y'all appreciate my contribution. I like seeing all the input they generate. |

| I was very fortunate to have two girlfriends who were true, hardcore barefooters. It was great to go barefoot together around the city (the Village, NYC), Coney Island, the subways, stores, etc. One had a mom who also went barefoot before she moved to NYC. She had no problems with us coming into the apartment with filthy black feet. Her mom's feet were very tough and calloused so I had no doubt her daughter learned from mom well. This was a long time ago, unfortunately no pics. Both moved away and I lost touch with them. It was also when it was common to see others barefoot in the Village, Washington Square Park, South Street Seaport, etc. The Dead were alive and playing concerts which were great places to meet other barefooters. |

Yes, unfortunately that's true: no photos to share. Indeed ... cameras DID exist, at that time ... I'm not that old. But they weren't DIGITAL cameras, so the "phylosophy" of taking pics was different, and this is the reason why I've not pics, in the "paper version" too: the process of developing and printing made photography, at that time, "a not private matter". However, we was convinced she was able to walk on ANY surface that was not "so hot to burn or so sharp to hole" her sole skin (obviously, she was able to face also those kind of surface, and she did it as a training so to be able to not showing any kind of vacillation in front of other people, when she encountered those surfaces in normal life). We didn't try cigarettes ... we simply didn't had the idea. But believe me ... it would have been not even and enuring test, to her ... as for the "hot" problem, in summer we trained on an abandoned factory that has hot asphalt and iron beams to offer, as "training tests". We're not talking about a "simple barefooter", but about a person with an enormous fetish on her own barefoot strenght, and therefore a person who spent enormous efforts to dream the building a proper invulnerability (... helped by another person - me -, moreover). In fact, when she encountered a totally unexpected beating, we ... well, our world really collapsed.  We honestly made the mistake of mixing an erotic fantasy with the reality, and both of us never completely perk up, despite years. |

That's fascinating! How it was that training for her to endure the heat? Did she build up a tough layer of skin on her soles? Or did she learn to cope with the pain on her soles, to ignore it? Could you check her soles after walking barefoot on such hot surfaces, on those hot iron beams??? Did she get any blisters? Did her face reflected the pain her soles felt as she trained? Absolutely!... I was her ... trainer, you know it, because you know something more of our story, including her name. I DID do it after ANY test, and it happened - not once - that I did it FORCING her to stop the routine she was doing, when I realized she was too much in pain and she didn't want to admit it (primarily "admit it to herself"). And it happened on hot surfaces more than in any other situation, as "hot" was her (our) only VISIBLE weak spot. However, I want to precise: our training on hot surfaces was mainly based on rebalancing continuusly weight on a different foot and on a different part of it, developing "apparently casual movements". But on heated iron beams it was a matter of ... mere seconds! We used them only because they were ... hotter than asphalt, and our goal was to make her capable to endure asphalt without flinching, and passing over MORE hot elements (it happens!, while barefootin' around) returning then on asphalt (and not needing instead a cool surface to recover).
Yes, unfortunately she did. And when it happened, we had to partially bandage her injured foot ...a thing that used to irritate her enormously, mainly because it severely weakened her (as her strengths came from an increbily intense fetish of feeling her feet naked, protecting them in ANY way made her a lot vulnerable in her barefootin' around). Honestly, I remember I was in deep difficulties in findind the balance between training her "enough" on hot, and not hurting her. Also because she ALWAYS wanted to do it, in summer, as she felt too much vulnerable in that situation. The reason of all of this problem is that we "make use of her bare feet" also ... well, also in love. This was OUR common fetish. So, every evening I took care of her feet, especially of her soles, with any kind of attentions (footbaths, massages, oils, creams ...), while she concentrated to completely abandon her feet and their strengths in my hands ... I could make her completely helpless in those moments. This was our real common fetish: "helpless in my hands and invulnerable in any other situation". But this is also the reason why - I think - she never developed an extremely thick skin in her soles. As for muscles, capability to control foot movements and to absorb impact, and capability to endure pain until the conditioned response of not feeling it at all, she was at the higher level possible, we thought. But when a situation "attacked her skin", such as it happens on hot surfaces (but not only), she was vulnerable.
Whe we was among other people, NEVER (... obviously). While training, yes, she showed any trouble moment. It was a real method. We developed the usage of an "internal kiai" ... a kiai (the martial artists "shout") not based on loud voice (that's used to increase the explosiveness of movemets) but rather on midriff's leaning ... something similar to what you commonly would do if you get a punch in the stomach, just to let you understand. She completely and freely release any physical feeling while training, with face, body and with the internal kiai ... so she could concentrate only on soles movements and I could understand how it was doing (and moreover our fetish exploded this way ). The only TOTAL prohibition was to anyhow touch her feet with her own hands ... we both know it would have meant "I'm finished", a sort of a place from which it would have been very difficult to come back.However, it happened that she tried to hide difficulties also to me, while training ... she was a "blockhead" with a pride that somehow managed to overcome even our fetish and our pact (!). But ... well ... a sudden strong hold to the most hurting part of her weaker bare foot (I was almost infallible to understand) together with a treachery kiss in the same spot always managed to make her come with terms (not without ... sometimes menacing me like "... you .... bastard ... I can beat even this ... and I'll show you ...", but I've ever translated it as "increase both the touch of lips and the pressure of fingers and finish me now so we can pass to something else ... today I'm too weak to train 'cause I'm too much aroused" ).Bye DG! |

| What a pity all what you got was lost, Flowwer. Anyways, you lived a wonderful experience, one on a life kind, and you must feel proud and happy about them. How long ago dit all that happen? How old was the girl then, how old is she now? What did people say by watching all the strength this girl had on her feet, all the tests she could endure? Thanks |

Why and how could she walk on glass and sharp gravel? Do you have pics of other girls like her?
