City-feet members' message board > Our polls > Would You Come to Her Aid |

Let's say that you're in a store where there's a barefoot girl walking around, and a manager orders her to leave--"No shoes, no service!" Would you try to come to her aid, or would you rather not get involved? Not sure if I'd help her, but I might try to talk with her and sympathize with her, afterwards. |

Interesting situation and question! Even if in Italy it is very unlikely that a potential customer is ordered off a place on the sole grounds of lack of footwear, I would surely stand out publicly in defence of the attacked barefoot beauty! Of course whether the manager's behaviour violates any of the fundamental principles of the Italian Constitution (e.g. the one against discrimination) is a question that should be settled in a court, but I would surely tell the manager that the dirt under the girl's bare soles is the same dirt that shod patrons carry beneath the soles of their shoes, that I deem that his/her behaviour towards the barefoot girl is blatantly against the principles of our Constitution, that if the girl has to leave the place I will also leave the place immediately, that they can forget about me as a potential patron in the future, and that I will make the worst publicity possible about their shop.. |

@Feetosopher: You're a real gentleman, aiding the barefoot girl! But to be honest, I do not know if I'd be that courageous. Of course, I hope I would... |
