For me, this is the Citizen Kane of the City Feet videos. Long Barefoot Travel, with Ira and Lena.
These photos and clips alone are worth the monthly membership fee. What's not to love?
1. The two girls strip off their shoes and socks at the beginning, in a train station, showing off their bare feet to stunned fellow travelers in a crowded train station.
2. The girls take a long train ride keeping their shoes tucked away in their bags the entire time. One of the girls actually gets berated by a woman on the train for being barefoot.
3. The girls walk from the train/train station (on many grimy surfaces) to their hotel and pause numerous times for photos.
4. The girls check in to a fancy boutique hotel and visit a cafe there - still barefoot and none of the staff seems to mind.
5. After their lunch, the girls embark on an afternoon-long hike through the big city, leaving their bags (that is, shoes) behind - their feet get incredibly filthy and they pose on the stairwell of the hotel after the hike for photo shoots.
6. The next day: A full day of hiking through the city barefoot, climaxing in a return train trip where their feet are absolutely sooty and soles black. The girls walk out of the train station, and although we don't see them go home, we are optimistic they stayed barefoot for the entire trip home, marked nearly 2 full days of public barefooting - in the winter!
As I said, epic. There are no "foot shows" on benches, with the exception of one brief show after the girls visit a bumper car ride (barefoot, of course). Barefoot on the bumper cars - wonderful.
The girls are both very pretty, with "girl next door" looks, although I'm partial to the lovely blonde Ira, who would appear in later videos flexing her bare feet in snow, and then on a weekend-long barefoot journey on rainy streets with another friend. But this first set is her masterpiece. And Paul's masterpiece:
