City-feet members' message board > Barefoot memories&impressions > Movies with Barefoot Female Characters

I thought I'd do something a little different. This is a list of movies with female characters who are barefooted throughout the entire movie, or at least during a large chunk of it. Hope all of you will contribute to it.
Now, let me first mention: I'm not talking about films with just one, or two, barefoot scenes. As I said, the actress MUST be barefooted through a large part of the film!
Here we go!:
PETER PAN A rarely-seen silent version from 1926. Betty Bronson, who plays Peter, is barefooted throughout the entire movie!
TESS OF THE STORM COUNTRY Mary Pickford is barefooted during the first half of the film She eventually puts on boots, but takes them off during two extra scenes.
SPARROWS Mary Pickford, again, is barefoot in the last part of the film and even gets her feet muddy!
MODERN TIMES Paulette Goddard is barefooted during the first half of the film.
THE SHEPHARD OF THE HILLS Betty Field is barefoot throughout the entire film and even mentions she likes walking barefoot in the mud!

Sheena (1984). Tanya Roberts is the Queen of the Jungle, who goes barefoot all the time.

Gator Bait (1974) Claudia Jennings is a Cajun girl who lives barefoot in the swamp

Hi

I think I posted a list on another thread a few years back. If you want movies with barefoot female characters, I suggest you check out classic Indian movies (especially Hindi ones) from the 1970s and 1980s. They are an absolute gold mine with plenty of female characters who go barefoot for the entire movie.

Here are a few that comes to mind:
1. Sholay (1975)
2. Satyam Shivam Sundaram (1978)
3. Ram Teri Ganga Maili (1985)
4. Chanda Aur Bijli (1969)
5. Apna Desh (1972)
6. Bandhan (1969)
7. Jaani Dushman (1979)
8. Teri Meherbaniyan (1985)
9. Jaise Ko Taisa (1973)
10. Milap (1973)
11. Kuchhe Dhaage (1973)

You can find the full length video of most of these movies on Youtube. In general you can just look up any movie starring Sridevi, Hema Malini, Mumtaz, Reena Roy, Anita Raj and Saira Banu. These actresses portrayed barefoot characters in multiple movies.

You can also check out my Youtube channel where I uploaded clips of various barefoot female movie characters. I also have 2 clips of Misty Rowe going barefoot on The Hitchhikers (1972).

Cheers.

There's an appalling movie from 1969 starring Norman Wisdom..........no, no, read on, please...

Sally Geeson co-stars as a barefoot hippie girl who implausably hitches herself to Norman. She gets a fair chunk of the action to be fiar and as far as I can remember is barefoot throughout. She first makes an appearance after around 8 minutes.

The 'hippies' are pretty objectionable throughout so probably best to search for bits with Sally G in them

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=96egWh2M0yA

As fascinating to me are the low number of vehicles on what are to me, familiar roads (but that's for another place.....).

Oh yes, I love that this is a thread about full-time barefoot women in movies!

My types:

The Doors (1991) - Meg Ryan as a beautiful, barefoot hippie! Available on Netflix!

Barfuss (2005) - Johanna Wokalek is barefoot from beginning to ending.

Million Dollar Hotel (2000) - barefoot, dirty-soled Milla Jovovich is one of the best characters in the cinema history wub.gif

Night of the Iguana (1964) - Ava Gardner doesn't have anything on her feet during the whole movie!

Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) - three female characters are barefoot throughout the whole movie - played by Zoe Kravitz, Courtney Eaton and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. They walk barefoot on the hot sands of the desert, sharp rocks, dirty trucks - lovely and splendid!

The Tall Men--Jane Russell is constantly taking off her shoes, and even gets a foot massage from Clark Gable. The best scene: She takes her boots and stockings off--in the lobby of a hotel!

So far as I can tell, The Squall is not currently available for streaming, and the full film is not on Youtube. It does seem to be available on DVD fairly cheap, if that is an option for you.

I saw it on the Turner Classic Movies channel a while ago, and it is not a great movie, but Myrna Loy looks absolutely gorgeous in it, despite playing a bad stereotype character.

I've had the misfortune of watching a new film on Netflix called FootFairy about a Bundy-style woman killer. It's from India.

Yes there are technically barefoot women in it, but they are murder victims of the eponymous killer, whose party trick is to saw off the women's feet at the ankles and keep them as trophies.

OK, every killer has their thing - feet, clown outfits whatever....

Granted, foot worship in India is viewed with even more contempt than the western world. It's like the lowest shit ever to them.

They reinforce descriptions of the FootFairy as a "weirdo" and a "freak" at points during the film. Guess that's fair enough, because serial killers are invariably weirdos.

But there is no balance, nobody ever says "not all foot fetishists are serial killers" or similar.

There is one scene that boils my piss in particular, where they explore his social media and find "likes" for umpteen foot fetish pages on Facebook and react in horror.... so are we supposed to keep this under wraps?

Are we supposed to be criminalised and closeted, like LGBT people were back in the dark ages?

I have absolutely no faith in any females watching this so-called film to take it in context, given the prime Netflix demographic and the hopeless, endless tide of women in sneakers who think going barefoot in public is like slaughtering kittens.

Basically, a whole generation of women watching this are going to hate guys who like feet. That's if they are into Hindi films, which I doubt many are, but all it takes is the right marketing to make something popular in the west.... like Netflix

As for the film itself, the plot is crap, the acting is poor and the protagonist is a bit of a psycho himself. He has no self-control when grilling suspects.

Watch it at your peril. Anyone who does, let me know your thoughts.

Hello Duffman

Thanks for the heads up regarding this movie.

As a big fan of old Indian films from the 70s which featured a ton of female characters going barefoot for entire movies, it is unfortunate that they have regressed to this level. But I feel it is a reflection of the general direction where Indian culture (and the world in general) is headed, which associates going barefoot with poverty, and hence try to distance themselves from the practice of going barefoot. Young Indian females are also moving away from wearing foot jewelry (anklets and toe rings), which used to be the norm back then.

Similar to you, I am also sick of the endless waves of women in sneakers. I live in Malaysia where it's hot and humid all year round. Women here used to go out in flipflops and sandals, but most have 'upgraded' to sandals to keep up with global trends. To make things worse, unlike women in the west who would remove their footwear when it gets uncomfortable, Asian women tends to not remove their shoes even if they were killing their feet. There were even ridiculous cases of women (wearing heels) swapping footwear with their male partner (in sandals or sneakers) instead of just going barefoot.

A terrible time to be alive.

Oh yeah, that reminds me, there's another bit where a woman is giving a statement. Basically the killer is actually a restarateur by day, and one of his previous customers is giving a statement saying he constantly compliments feet during his job.... another slice in the hatchet job!

In this case it's "ooh that's a nice anklet" - a perfectly innocent statement. Hell, whenever I used to go and socialise, I'd say that if a woman was wearing one. She'd react well or just with a curt "thanks". No harm done.

Now that compliment has been irrevocably poisoned by this utter sham of a film, which offers zero balance or objectivity and just completely villainises men who like feet.

You know what. I can't win. I give up. Why couldn't it have been boob fairy or ass fairy, or freaking "ear lobe fairy". No, the makers had to target and completely brutalise one of the safest, most misunderstood fetishes out there.

I just know the whole "civilised" world hates me except for people on here. That's why nobody in my family, and certainly not my GF will ever openly know about my perversion for pieds... though I'm sure they suspect.

My girl would leave me instantly if she could see the foot stuff on my laptop or if I tried kissing her feet, 100% convinced. And if I have to choose between her or pursuing my foot fantasies, there's only one winner.

So I'm done.

Is there a boob site I can get into so I can be one of those "normal" people who suck on budweisers, watch the game and look at titties? Possibly while wearing trucker's gear? You know, like a REAL man or whatever the fuck.

Maybe I'll seek out a local 'pastorbater' who can convert me into a righteous boob hound... whatever gives me some inner fucking peace!!!!

I feel your pain, Duffman and thesolesearcher.

The trend towards trainers (sneakers) really makes my herart sink. It's happeneing here too to an extent but it's still common to see girls in heels and - even better - carrying them, though I recall the glorious days of the 80s when girls would go out barefoot, not taking shoes at all.

I realise I'm so lucky to be living in the UK where of a Friday and Saturday nights across Britain you have every chance of seeing barefoot girls walking amongst the fast food detritus left on the streets whatever the time of year, wet, dry, hot or cold. I was in Manchester for a few days last week and every night I went out - not even that late - I saw barefoot girls: an absolute delight.

I don't bother watching the nightlife videos from Asian countries like Thailand as I just know the girls will keep their heels on if it kills them. In the UK half of them would be bearefoot, I'm sure.

Get yourselves a cheap flight guys, and check out our northern cities: you'll be glad you did.

Or watch walking videos like those I've posted elsewhere on this forum.

Mike123.

I fuckin hate shoe trends. It’s always the new “Air Force 1” the new “Yeezees” like what makes those shoes so fucking special? And what’s with people flocking to buy new shoes daily, I’ve been wearing the same pair of converse since 2019, they’re perfectly fine, shoe culture rant over.

Very rare do I see any barefoot girls out and about who aren’t myself, I guess it’s uncool to do. Seeing girls in flip flops or cute sandals is less common than 10 years ago. I remember the summer of 2009, young me really realizing how awesome summer car rides are because I could watch women in flip flops all the whole time. But nowadays it seems to be a lot less common

I read the plot summary provided of this film, and it looks awful. The fact someone decided to make a movie demonizing foot lovers is beyond redundant, just go to any shitty meme page and there you go. Foot fetish jokes are lowest common denominator lame and predictable. I’ve seen memes comparing boob lovers to ass lovers, and throwing in some joke about foot lovers being weird at the bottom. I’m sorry my fetish is “cringe” and “gross” even tho worshipping feet won’t give you an STD like anal sex. I think the foot modelling scene on OnlyFans makes things worse, because it makes foot lovers look like “simps”.

Also. Nice to have a forum, where unlike Reddit, it’s easier to have actual intelligent discussions about our fetish, especially when our sub fetish is dirty soles and barefoot in public, both of which aren’t very popular in mainstream foot fetishism.

Posted by: dude Jul 31 2022, 11:20 PM
Not that it’s my business, Duffman, but have you tried to gradually introduce the foot fetish to your girlfriend? In my experience, women don’t think it’s weird if you’re gradual about it. Some might not like it, but many are fine with it, including my wife. I obviously know nothing about the state of your relationship, but you may be selling yourself short.

Also, if Quentin Tarantino can plaster his fetish all over each of his movies without him being ostracized from Hollywood makes me think people don’t really think that poorly of us. They might think we’re a little odd, but not evil or degenerate.

Posted by: TWRS1999 Aug 1 2022, 04:01 AM
Tarantino’s fetish always came across as “weaker” to me for whatever reason. Idk why lol

Has the infamous sex scene from Birdemic: Shock And Terror where the girl has dirty feet been mentioned here yet?

Posted by: Roose May 27 2023, 09:55 PM
Don't know if Contempt (1963) by Godard has been mentioned but Bardot has dirty bare feet in a scene and her penchant for going barefoot is in full display here although not as much as in And God Created Woman (1956).

This thread has laid low for a while. But here's something that provides a moment of intrigue, even though it's a TV show, not a movie.

In the late 90s there was a British cop drama called Liverpool 1. At 7:25 in this episode, a blonde extra walks in front of the camera and out of shot.

https://youtu.be/1ihxtWqvrnM?t=445

You don't see her face, but she's clearly not wearing shoes as she walks away.

I can't tell if she's barefoot or wearing nylons. But I just think it's ace that an extra was like "fuck it, my heels are killing me"...

As for the main heroine (who is undercover in a club and trying to bring down a local crime boss), you never see her bare feet in any episode.

At the start of one she's sipping tea on a lawn wearing open-toed velvet slippers.... (boo-urns!).

Here's her wikifeet page if interested (have a good malware protector before clicking! I recommend Avast): https://www.wikifeet.com/Samantha_Womack

She married her co-star Mark Womack who plays another cop. Lucky guy! Though I hear they divorced a couple of years back.

Also, one of the earlier episodes has a villain who solicits prostitutes near the cathedral and has an alleged foot fetish. Unsurprisingly, he is a deranged would-be rapist.

Sigh.... we're never gonna get a break are we?

Posted by: Duffman847 Jul 30 2023, 08:43 PM
Something more relevant perhaps - apologies if already mentioned.

There's a 2004 film called Without a Paddle and has a few recognisable faces in it.

Here, some adventurers meet two hippie girls. They have beautiful feet, and one of them can grab all kinds of stuff with her lovely long toes:

The actresses are Rachel Blanchard and Christina Moore. Their Wikifeet pages are below (again, have antivirus at the ready!!)

Rachel Blanchard also appears in the UK comedy Peep Show as another hippy-ish character called Nancy (was once only on Channel 4, but anyone in the world can now watch it on Netflix).

She's in S2 and S4. When she first appears in S2, the main protagonists Jez and Mark are at a hippie dance class. Jez carries her around and her feet in jeans are on full display for a split second.

Hello, I've been away from the forum for awhile, but I wanted to share a nice film find:

Absolute Vow(2017). This is a film interpretation of a Bible story from the Old Testament, and while it would be expected that everyone would wear sandals, instead we get as many as seven pretty actresses barefoot onscreen at once! All seven of them are not present for the entire film, but they are the primary characters, and the lead character ("The Virgin") is in most scenes, and is barefoot throughout. No closeups or foot focused scenes, but the feet are clearly visible much of the time, in some rough looking outdoor terrain. In the U.S., it's streaming for free on Tubi (not sure about other countries). If you're not able to watch it, check out the imdb page and just scroll through the photos. They give you a good sample of what you can see in the film.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6179330/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0_tt_8_nm_0_q_absolute%2520vow

The film itself is kind of slow moving, but if you like eccentric, zero budget movies this may appeal to you. The barefoot action is first rate, though!

Do girls in Malaysia take off shoes in temples? They do so in Burma, but not so much in Thailand. I heard in Hinduism temples they have to do so.

The best place to see barefoot girls is Burma. They are tons of visitors who climb pagodas barefoot. What's better, you can act as photographers and they are usually happy to post for you!
