Hi all, I recently launched a new Patreon that is dedicated to pretty models with dirty bare feet: https://www.patreon.com/shoelessgirlmedia. Would love to get feedback from this community, and I'm happy to answer questions here.

My focus is on women in shorts or skirts with extremely dirty feet (by the end of the shoots, anyway!) All models are over 18, and there is no nudity. Most of the photo sets were taken in Southern California.

I'll be posting one set of photos per week, and so far I've got two models featured, but more have already been photographed and are in the pipeline.

Here are samples of the first two models, Laney (the blond) and Sarina.

welcome to the forum :-)

your example pictures look great,

i´m not to used to patroen so cannot comment to much on their architecture

but here are my initial thoughts:
- write the image resolution of the pictures somehwere in the description

- post some example images in full resolution so that potential clients will
know in advance what quality they can expect, to me, cropped and low-resolution pictures are rather a potential turn-off

- price tag for the moment is perhaps a bit high, i rather would start with a lower price (early bird rate) and then gradually increase with the amount of pictures on your patreon

do you also plan to do videos, or just photos?

from past experience, content creators like you, how often will participate here on the board, will get much more respect and perhaps sales, than just the ones who will use this forum as advertising, just like anywhere in social media marketing, the more you put into to, the more you will get out of it

Welcome! Your site looks it has lots of potential. Like you I also love extremely dirty feet or soles rather. What i also like is a photo story to go with the dirty sole pics. Meaning there are pics of the models walking barefoot in different areas. Like going on a barefoot journey and then finally a pic of the dirty soles. You live in a great area for barefooting. Not sure if you are near Los Angeles but my wife soles got really black from walking on a sidewalk for a few minutes once (it can be smoggy there!) I hope your site will grow.

Most of my shoots are in Orange County, so not too far from LA. If you know where to look, there are some extremely dirty locations. The lack of rainfall also helps - the soot, oil, etc. doesn't get washed away for months, especially in the summer and early fall.

Zane, welcome to CF! I really like what I see so far, and the majority of us think that warm weather, skirts and shorts are the best accompaniment to bare feet.

The European members of this board such as myself are certainly interested to see how U.S barefoot girls get on in public, compared to Germany etc. We understand the U.S to be somewhat uptight (NSx3 signs for instance, even though they are thoroughly unconstitutional), but we also realise that probably California is going to be more laid back than say Boston or NJ.

One thing we'd like to see from you is maybe a chat/interview (in a separate video - NOT as part of the shoot) with the model.

Among the things some of us would die to know about the CF girls in Russia are whether they are FT barefooters, what they like/dislike about it etc. On CF, all we see is the model - usually once and once only - turn up, do a bit of a walk around a neighborhood, metro station, shopping mall, the last part is a "foot show" real up close stuff. Then they walk away, the shoot ends, and they are never seen again.

This is in stark contrast to the mid-2000s, when models would typically do multiple shoots and provide a real sense of narrative.

I'd also like to ask you, how long have you known about CF and who is your favourite model? These are mine

You say that you focus on girls wearing skirts that´s why I´d like to ask you if you could make them look more formal. Frankly, few things are more sexy than a young secretary/ manager walking barefoot in public. And if you managed to shoot a video showing what such a girl is up to during her lunch break, it would be quite a blast!

And what do you make of the weather? Any chance to have a session when it isn´t that hot?

Why are you surprised, amico? There is a new vendor in the market, to my knowledge he is the only footographer based in the USA
(which are still the biggest market for adult entertainment) who covers female barefooting..
he seems to be a smart dude, and he is new to the Forum.. why should I not greet him and wish him good luck?
I have always believed in free competition, if competitors play a fair game.. free competition promotes an increase in the average quality level of the offer,
and is surely beneficial to consumers!

Barefoot girls are definitely not as common in the US as they seem to be in Europe, at least not anymore. A lot has changed in the past 15 or 20 years. When I was a kid, girls and young women would routinely show up barefoot to house parties, festivals, amusement parks, and so on. When I was in high school, I remember a girl who went barefoot on a class trip into the city. I don’t think she even brought shoes along. By the end of the day, her feet were caked in black filth, but nobody seemed to mind.

Nowadays, many American women will walk around their yards or neighborhoods barefoot, but they won’t ordinarily go anywhere else without shoes. So far, most (but not all!) of my models fit that mold. Sarina, for example, told me that she’d sometimes worked barefoot in a family-owned garage, but she’d never walked around the city barefoot before. I haven’t found any full-time barefooters yet, but I’m still looking.

The good news is that almost all my models so far have been very cool, very open to barefooting, and seemed to genuinely enjoy the shoots. A couple of them took it as a challenge to get their feet dirtier than the previous models – you’ll see them coming up soon.

I’ve been aware of CF for a few years and was a fan of postmodernwomen and barefootfoever before that. Those were the sites that inspired me to start doing this myself. Some of my favorite CF models are:

I love the formal attire idea and wish I’d thought of it for the first round of shoots. Will keep it in mind for future photo sets.

The weather in Southern California is almost always hot, though I am sometimes in other states where the weather is cooler. The only time of year when SoCal gets cool (relatively) is during the rainy season, which is not my favorite time to shoot, mainly because the ground gets so clean.

I’ve admired your work for a while – thanks for the greeting! My hope is that I can help increase the size of the pie rather than steal market share. Going to Patreon is part of that strategy, but it may or may not pay off. Regardless, should be fun to give it a try.

Postmodernwomen was great in the day. Excellent choices there, Alyona is my favourite model of all time, and I'd love to see more of 1st Maria - still hopeful for an encore as she only went live last year.

Julia is an all-time favourite for many, if only for that yellow top/black miniskirt combo.

The first two girls on your list won contests run by myself on the polls section between 2015 and 2018. They don't happen anymore, but there's still plenty of interesting polls in the section which generate some lively debate!

Alisa with the shorts and t-shirt is a real cracker too. Not necessarily looks-wise, but because she's one of just a few select models in the city with NOTHING in their hands, and no visible tan marks. This makes her appear a bit crazed and unpredictable (sorry for nicking your idea michael0218 but you are right about that

)

Since you're quite familiar with this site and an avid shooter, which models do you think are genuinely into it and which are just in for the money? It's harder to tell with the ones who debuted from around 2008 onwards.

Are there any CF girls you would say are more often barefoot, judging by their toe spread, arches, callouses etc?

Thanks for your answer, Zane. I´m glad that you are willing to add this feature into your repertoire and at the same time I hope that your models don´t find it too challenging to carry it out. You know to be barefoot in your beach clothes is one thing but to kick off your shoes and peel off your stockings if you are sporting your office attire is quite another.

Speaking of rainy season, as far as I´m concerned no probs whatsoever. Everybody knows that feet don´t get that dirty if the ground is wet. Apart from that girls look damn sexy when it is raining! Check out Vasilisa for instance.

Based on the photos, it's hard to tell who the frequent barefooters might be. I always had Margarita and the most recent Maria figured for possible barefooters, based on the apparent toughness of their soles. Alisa seemed to be enjoying herself on the shoot (it's hard to fake genuine enthusiasm over the course of a whole shoot), but her feet didn't look tough enough for a frequent barefooter.

It's much easier to tell when I'm actually shooting with a model. The women who are comfortable being barefoot will walk on hot or uneven payment without complaining or needing frequent breaks. Some of them might just be badasses, but when I've asked, the ones who seem comfortable usually tell me they go barefoot a lot.

Another thing I've noticed is that for some reason, women with tougher soles seem to get dirty more quickly. I'm not sure why that would be, and maybe I'm wrong, but there could be something to it.

Whatever.. I prefer losing market shares to fair competitors, than to those mob-style sites which earn money by offering content ripped from other sites.

Great work Zane! After seeing your sample posts, I signed up on Patreon and I must say it's been very impressive so far.

I've mentioned that I really like painted toes, so I really enjoyed Laney's set. Please keep the painted toes coming

Like some of the others have mentioned, could we have interview videos with your models? I think having English-speaking models gives you a big advantage here, because this is something you could easily do!

Could you also put up a few pictures from other models that you have, just so we've got an idea of who else you have coming up?

Last thing, on a practical note, can you upload your pictures as a zip file so we don't have to download every file individually?

It´s always great to see a photo or video footage featuring a barefoot girl. That said, I don´t like explicit posing too much. In other words, if your models agreed to put on their formal attire, could you make the material more documentary like? It would be absolutely gorgeous but it´s only a suggestion of course.

By the way, Laney is quite a looker and her feet are super sexy! Working with her must have been sheer bliss!

@onetwenty - Thanks for pledging on the Patreon, and I'm glad you're enjoying the photo sets! Your suggestions are excellent - I'll start uploading the photos as a zip, and I'll encourage the models to keep wearing toenail polish. I will also post some "coming soon" pics of upcoming models.

Interviews may be more of a challenge - I've mentioned it to a couple models, and they seemed reluctant. However, if I find anyone willing, especially if they're frequent barefooters, I'll post them.

@bfwatcher - Some of the existing photos are more documentary in style (models walking, doing things without acknowledging the camera), but I haven't been posting those as samples. Will try to do that in future. I like the documentary idea.

Laney was great to work with - not only beautiful but also fun and easy-going. Something about these barefoot shoots seems to attract cool women.

I worked in retail while in college in the late ‘80s/early ‘90s and during the warm months, many girls would enter the stores (I worked at record stores and video rental stores) barefoot. Sometimes the manager would ask them to leave (much to my dismay), other times they wouldn’t. This never happens in this country now. I have my theories:

1. Health code fears: those no shoes no shirt no service signs everywhere. Establishments in the U.S. afraid of being sued. Even in beach towns, you see these signs. The U.S. is a lawsuit happy nation. How I miss the “bare feet at own risk” signs - I haven’t seen one since the mid ‘80s.

2. Flip flop fanaticism: expensive flip flops over bare feet seem to be the culture now. Plus an irrational fear of germs.

3. Pedicures: women spend so much time and money at the nail salons they would never consider walking barefoot to screw up that precious pedi.

I think these 3, plus a general uptight attitude about barefooting in public, have killed the BF culture in the U.S.

Hi Zane! i love your pictures...that is, what I've seen so far....especially the second girl. The lovely blonde is also a treat...as a matter of fact....and they both loom in my imagination...and pertain to what I would love to ask as a request...something I would love for you to consider. I have requested several of times on CF this scenario....a barefoot girl, wearing just shorts and a t-shirt...of course no hand bag, unless it's an Alyona-type tiny bag with no room for shoes or flip flops...with her is a friend...preferably a little taller (if possible)...completely shod...and wearing jeans, i.e., just the opposite of the attire of out barefoot heroine. Our girls would be grocery shopping...casually chatting with one another. The grocery store was ALWAYS the scene of the most barefoot girls years ago. It was thought of as no big deal at all for a girl to arrive at the store barefoot...such a casual, relaxed and pleasurable experience it was. Back then, before the uptight, litigious, "you sue me and I'll sue you" society that we're cursed with today in America, people of all stripes were cool with going barefoot....especially girls..
So that's my request, if at all possible, and I must say that the the two models you've led off with are ideal...I mean I.D.E.A.L. Both of then are lovely, with CF-esque bealtiful feet!

Laney? I bet she´s cool. After all it´s not common to walk barefoot in public. Not many people would have the guts to do something like that!

@michael0218 - You're absolutely right about grocery stores. I remember seeing plenty of shoeless women while food shopping as a kid, but I rarely see it today, even in CA. Your request is specific, but I'll keep an eye out for opportunities.

Today I posted the final photo set with Sarina: https://www.patreon.com/shoelessgirlmedia.

By the end of the shoot, Sarina (who had never barefooted in the city or suburbs before) was tired, so I let her relax and do whatever she wanted. She indulged her playful side, trying to sneak up on some little animals, balancing on a post (and showing off her filthy soles), and striking some goofy poses. It was a fun way to end my first official shoot for this project.

Just posted the latest set with Laney on my patreon: https://www.patreon.com/shoelessgirlmedia.

Turns out she was enjoying herself on the lamppost, so I let her try a lot more poses. The more time she spent on the lamppost, the more she got white paint dust all over her already filthy feet, which you can see below.

Then we walked on, with Laney balancing on a curb to escape the hot pavement, until we found some patches of black filth and grime. Since they were cooler than the pavement, Laney spent some time dancing around in them, getting her feet even blacker than before.

This week on SGM, meet Elena, a brand new model! More than any of the other girls, Elena was super-excited to be a part of this project. I think she's a barefooter at heart. She left her shoes at the car and was smiling and laughing throughout the whole shoot - we had a blast.

When I told her that these shoots were all about dirty feet, she loved the idea and went straight for the filthiest patches of ground in this first photo set. Her feet only get blacker from here...

This week, Laney shows some close-ups of how filthy her feet have become, through a combination of dirt, mud, black street dust, and filthy grime from under cars. After that, she takes a break in a park - I let her pose any way she wanted, and she came up with some creative shots.

Then it was off to a patch of filth and grime in a parking lot where she dances enthusiastically, getting her feet blacker still. Dancing around in oil and grime turns out to be fun for the models and effective at getting their feet really filthy. You'll be seeing more of it in future shoots.

This last batch is larger than usual, and Laney shows off how filthy her feet have become after a long walk through the streets and parking lots of SoCal. (I think I've mentioned it before, but one of the great things about California - at least for barefooting - is that it rarely rains, so the dirt never gets washed away.) This set includes some great close-ups of her black soles too.

Thanks DBF - all good suggestions. I rarely see barefoot women around (ugh, the US) but seeking out street performers and the like is an interesting idea. Models have been great to work with in my photo shoots but definitely seem wary of anything like an interview or documentary.

One of the great things about Southern California is that the streets, and especially some of the parking lots, almost never get washed by the rain. That allows black dirt and oil from vehicles to build up, along with all the other other road dust. Some areas get absolutely filthy.

Toward the end of our shoot, Elena and I visited one of those parking lots, and in this week's set on https://www.patreon.com/shoelessgirlmedia, you'll see some of the results.

Aditi is one of those rare girls whose feet seemed to get filthy very quickly, just from walking around on the pavement. This picture was from relatively early in the shoot - they got even blacker by the end.

One thing I've been surprised about is how many models don't mind (or even enjoy) walking around barefoot, even if their feet end up filthy. I don't think Aditi or Nicole are regular barefooters, but they didn't even bother to take shoes or sandals with them on our walks.

I usually steer models toward dirtier locations, but this time I went a little more natural, letting Tara choose where we'd go and where she thought would be fun to stop and take some shots. You'll see a progression of her soles from very dirty to less dirty and back again as she walks on pavement, dirt, grass, and cement.

However, my next model, Nicole, has a few amazing close-ups of some of the filthiest feet I've ever seen. I'll be sure to post one or two here when I publish her later sets.

This week is the debut for Nicole, my newest model on https://www.patreon.com/shoelessgirlmedia! Nicole is a classic California girl - tall, blonde, and beautiful. She's also a badass with tough soles. I discovered a very filthy office / industrial complex, and Nicole was the first model to walk through it with me. As you'll see in later sets, her feet will soon be covered in black industrial dirt, tree pollen, motor oil, and more. She didn't seem to mind at all.

@bfwatcher - I'm glad you like Nicole! I wish I ran into some barefoot girls at the supermarket too - it's far too rare in the US. Much less common than it used to be. Nothing better than a woman who leaves the house without even bothering to take shoes with her.

Another debut this week on https://www.patreon.com/shoelessgirlmedia - Aditi! In this first set, she starts her walk through a filthy office park.

A couple things about Aditi. First, she's not a frequent barefooter. She said she occasionally goes into her yard barefoot, but that's about it, so this shoot was a new experience for her. In the first sample photo below, you can probably tell that her feet are soft and uncalloused.

Second, the day of her shoot started off cloudy. That was good for Aditi because the dark pavement was still cool, and it didn't burn her sensitive soles. (It got sunny later, as you'll see in upcoming sets.) This set covers the first hour or so of her shoot, and her feet are already quite black by the end.

i think it has to do how much they sweat, if they are tend to have dry soles it wont keep much dirt as if they a bit more sweaty i think

Interesting... that theory makes sense, shifter. Toughness of soles might play a role too. It seems like some of the women with very tough soles get dirtier more quickly too, but I'm not 100% sure.

We're getting closer to the end of her photo shoot, and after a few hours of barefooting, her feet are quite dirty. I especially liked some of the shots where she's sitting on a metal post, showing off her filthy soles.

Just one question: I know that parking lots make for very dirty soles, but you never seem to hold shootings in downtown areas,
with people around.. is there any specific reason behind that? Many thanks in advance for any clarification you may give!

There are a couple reasons I typically avoid crowded areas. First, I find it harder to set up a good shot, especially when the models are posing. Second, we tend to get a lot of stares and unwelcome attention, and it makes the models uncomfortable. For example, on a few of my shoots, we've passed through more populated streets or strip malls. Every time, the models have been shouted at or even followed by creepy guys, and they asked me to get them out of there.

I'm not sure if it's an American or California phenomenon, or if European photographers have similar experiences, but that's why we avoid crowds. Some of the streets, parking lots, and office parks we visit are busy during the week, but we shoot on weekends when it's quiet.

My experience concerns cities in Northern Italy and Germany (especially in the Lower Saxony and Hessen regions):

and where most of the times someone (railway police, shop security) will come at you and order you to stop shooting and leave the place immediately,

I've also included some preview photos of my newest model, Soyeong, as she starts he own barefoot adventure. At the start of her shoot, her feet are fairly clean, but that will change a lot in upcoming shoots.

Beautiful photos. Barefoot adventures are a great idea, Dennis Cramer aka Barefoot Justine used to do them all sorts from trips to Asia, Cambodia ect, Renaissance Faires, Grateful Dead shows , ordinary trips to the mall , almost every conceivable situation where barefoot girls would be and anyplace he could bring his models where they would be comfortable.

As promised, the lovely Soyeong is back this week on https://www.patreon.com/shoelessgirlmedia. She's not a frequent barefooter, and as I describe in my subscriber post, she alternated between seeming almost embarrassed to be barefoot and being smiley and super-enthusiastic. An unusual model to be sure, but she proved very good at getting her feet very dirty. They're black by the end of this set, and they become much blacker by the end of her shoot.

One thing I've noticed when women spend a whole day barefoot in the city or at an amusement park - their feet are covered in all different kinds of dirt and filth. Nicole's feet were a perfect example by the end of her shoot - black road dust, oil and filth from underneath cars, pollen, dirt and mud, and who knows what else.

In her final set, she shows off the soles of a true barefooter.

For this week, I've introduced a new model on https://www.patreon.com/shoelessgirlmedia. Her name is Becca, and she's an artist, a singer, a sometime model, and apparently a semi-regular barefooter. (She's also the tallest model I've photographed.) She had no trouble walking barefoot on rough pavement, and her soles seemed pretty tough.

In this first part, we walked around the outskirts of an upscale SoCal mall. Next time, we explore the filthiest parking garage I've ever seen - I will definitely be returning there.

Becca is only a two-part series, coinciding with the end of Soyeong's sets. Then I'll be introducing two brand new models.

Thanks feetosopher! Becca actually was wearing a bra. It's black, just like her shirt, so it's only visible in a few of her photos.

I found Becca's unconventional beauty to be interesting as well. She has a certain charm and eccentricity that is unique to any of the models I've photographed before. I think she's the first professional artist I've ever worked with.

The new location is a little more urban, yes. We shot around the outskirts of a very large, upscale mall near the beach, passing by some shopping areas, a movie theater, and a large healthcare complex. It was a Sunday afternoon, so it was quieter than usual, and we only encountered a few cars and passers-by. (Toward the end of the shoot, we found the parking garage I mentioned - literally the filthiest garage I have ever seen!)

Artist and singer Becca is back this week on https://www.patreon.com/shoelessgirlmedia for the second half of her two-part series! While exploring the outskirts of an upscale mall, we came upon a parking garage that looked like it hadn't been cleaned in decades. (I'd shot in this area before and hadn't found it, but I really wish I had!) The ground was covered in years of soot, filth, car oil, and more. After only a few steps, Becca's feet were already black, so we spent a while wandering around, as you'll see in this set.

When I first spoke to her, she told me that she frequently barefoots around her yard, apartment complex, and neighborhood, and her usual attire is cutoff jean shorts and a t-shirt. One of my absolute favorite models debuts this week on https://www.patreon.com/shoelessgirlmedia. Zoe has a brilliant smile, a free-spirited attitude, and she's the kind of girl who will walk out the door barefoot if she feels like it, spending a night out barefoot, or going to college classes for the day with no shoes.

On the day of her shoot, she showed up without any shoes. Knowing that the shoot was all about barefooting, that's how she walked out her door. Still, her soles were pretty clean at first, but by the end of our day, she made sure they were filthy and black.

Here are some samples from her first set. (The last one is from the very beginning of her shoot, when her soles are clean... to compare to how they look later.) Plenty more in upcoming weeks!

in terms of video, if you are on mac you may want to try out imovie which is simple and most likely would be a easy way to edit your videos.

otherwise a great davinci resolve, its pretty complex and can do loads of things, but lot of semi-pros and pros are using it, and there is free version, that have you covered on many grounds already.

Resolve seems to be working for me, shifter, so huge thanks for that! Windows video editor didn't have all the features I need and also kept giving me lower resolution output than the originals. Possible I was doing something wrong, but I'm not sure.

The first video is not exactly professional quality, but hopefully it will be good enough for the audience to enjoy.

I figured the extreme dirt might not be for everyone.

Kaylee was a bit of an experiment, and part of it came from the model herself, who was absolutely determined to get her feet as black and filthy as possible. The exuberance you can see in the photos was genuine - she really enjoyed this!

I've included a very short clip below, but subscribers to SGM can see the full 1:30 version as Zoe dances exuberantly in a patch of oil and soot, and her feet get progressively blacker. She regularly turns away from the camera so we can see her filthy soles. @DG2001 - I've had a few models who could do that. I've never tried them out on a metal sewage grate, but definitely on hot black pavement around noon. Zoe was one who never winced or complained, so I think she has pretty tough soles. That makes sense because she said that she sometimes spends a day out barefoot on a whim. Nicole, Elena, and Kaylee seemed tough too. I think they were regular barefooters.

I'm always surprised by the number of girls who seem to like barefooting and are happy to do it whenever they have the chance.

A while back, Becca and I discovered the filthiest parking garage in Southern California, and I decided it was time to go back there again. I've always liked it when models barefoot across multiple terrains in a single session - dirt, mud, pavement, blacktop, oil spots, and so on. It usually results in layers of filth, a spot of oil here, some dried gum there, like a girl who spends whole days out barefoot.

Gorgeous Maribel managed to pull this off in the current set, barefooting through an outdoor storage facility, some garden dirt, an industrial loading dock, and around some filthy dumpsters. The results speak for themselves, especially by the end.

Kinda a matter of personal tastes, but I deffo agree with my friend shifter.. I mean, soles get filthy pretty quickly if a girl steps into puddles of lube oil
in a parking lot.. whereas it takes much more time, effort, endurance and dedication to get soles dirty simply by walking in the city!

Sometimes they walk on gravel and other surfaces when we can find it, but they almost always walk on hot pavement. In SoCal, just about every sunny day makes the pavement blazing hot - some of the girls have tough soles and hardly notice, while others can only stand it briefly, and then they run for the nearest shade. Those filthy oil spots tend not to get as hot, so they usually don't mind hanging around there!

While shooting this week's set, the beautiful Maribel exclaimed, "My feet look like somebody's work boots!" It's my favorite model quote of all time, and she was right. After a full day of barefooting, ending up in an absolutely filthy light industrial park, Maribel's bare feet looked like she'd worked a day barefoot in an industrial garage or construction site.

Thanks very much, DG! On the day of this shoot, the dark pavement was actually very hot, but Maribel seemed to have tough soles and didn't mind too much. Will keep an eye out for gravel and manhole covers. I think I've done some gravel shots in the past but probably didn't post those as samples.

I agree that Maribel is exquisite! And yes, she is Latina.

Hello! I have a question to ask you: do you also work with African-American girls? Maybe I am wrong, but I do not remember any of them on your site, even if there should be many of them in California. If I am right, is there a particular reason for that? I am asking because African-American, and colored girls in general, have rarely appeared on barefooting paysites, but I find that several of them are really sexy and have great feet. Thank you!

Here she is! At the request of feetosopher and barefootfootseeker, I'm introducing African-American model Gabrielle a little earlier than originally planned. She might be the most photogenic model I've worked with, seemingly incapable of taking a bad picture.

In Gabrielle's first set, we started our barefoot walk on another very hot SoCal afternoon when the pavement was blistering hot... but Gabrielle didn't seem to mind too much.

Although she's a frequent barefooter, at least around her house and neighborhood, she was uncomfortable walking barefoot in public spaces where there might be a lot of people around. In Eva's second set, she started to have more fun with the barefooting concept. And of course, her soles continued to get filthier as she continued her long walk. More and more, she seemed to be enjoying the idea of getting her feet really dirty, as I think you'll see in the pics below. Strangely, this is a reaction I've seen in multiple girls, both models and friends.

I'm introducing another of my personal favorite models this week. Her name is Sonali, and she was absolutely superb to work with, not least because she is a regular barefooter with tough and experienced soles.

Sonali enthusiastically volunteered for this project, telling me upfront that she goes barefoot "all the time," and in her teens and college years would regularly leave the house barefoot and spend a day in the city, go to amusement parks and fairs, or even out on dates barefoot. Needless to say, that sounded like the perfect woman to me.

She also has really tough soles from all the years of barefooting, and they tend to get really dirty, really fast.

@DG2001, that's what Sonali told me.

I immediately started wondering where I could find such women who'd go barefoot on dates, especially in the US. I've occasionally known women who will show up barefoot to a house party, outdoor barbecue, or even big music festivals, but they're rare and almost always in their late teens / early twenties. It's been more and more uncommon in recent years too. I think Sonali is a rare and special find!

@barefootfootseeker, I appreciate the feedback. re: Sonali's smile - do you dislike Sonali's smile in particular, or is it off-putting because the smile makes the pictures feel too posed and less natural? (I'm always curious to know what's more appealing to fans of barefoot women.)

re: her outfit - I'm not crazy about it either. The models almost always choose their own outfits, and some are better at it than others.

re: nude photos - I've never done a nude photo shoot, but far fewer models are willing to be photographed nude, and from what I've heard, it tends to cost a lot more. I also want to keep SGM a "general audiences" site.

@michael0218 - Much appreciated. I'd have a hard time picking a #1 too, but since I met them personally, I do have a few favorites. Some of my models had such fun attitudes and cool personalities that I find them far more attractive than others might. I wonder if fellow photographers like @feetosopher have a similar experience.

From a consumer standpoint, I fully agree with barefootfootseeker that it is a pity.. I would definitely be eager to admire your fantastic models without.. excess clothing, Zane!

Yet from the perspective of a former producer and vendor of such material.. I would say that yours is a wise decision.
I have come to the conclusion that the potential market for the "nudity + dirty soles" combo is probably not enough to justify the substantial additional costs.. and nuisances. And sadly for me, I have learned that the hard way.. that is, by trial and error. The fact that both Public Sluts and BAREFOOT NUDITY went bust should teach some lessons to other folks willing to engage themselves in similar endeavours.

I can definitely confirm what you wrote, Zane!

A girl that looks great in pictures/videos is not necessarily fun to work with, and to interact with once the camera is off.
By contrast, there are girls I have worked with that would never make it to Vanity Fair's cover.. yet spending time with them is among the most pleasant experiences that I can enjoy.
Plus, it is absolutely true that the personal favourites by us footographers may not coincide with the most popular models. That said, it is not wise from a commercial viewpoint to disclose too much our personal tastes..

P.S. just a warning about michael0218's appreciation, Zane.. he basically loves ANY barefooting girl.. other than most of the ones appearing on BAREFOOT URBAN GIRLS!

Yes these are particularly dangerous times for photographing nudes given the current cultural blowback, photographing feet though eccentric is relatively benign and innocent in comparison. As for the general aesthetic late 60's is good, the idea is to have models that look as though they go barefoot already, perhaps no makeup and the look of an old 16mm movie of Berkeley, Woodstock or London that you can find on YouTube, a couple of which have been posted in the forum is a good reference in terms of style, Hal Heaven and Feetstopher are also good references. I don't know what it is there seems to be more barefoot girls in Europe than in the US with occasional rare exceptions it seems they vanished after the Grateful Dead.

Hello city-feet crew,

I have some unfortunate news to share, which I just posted on https://www.patreon.com/shoelessgirlmedia as well.

Covid-19 has impacted us all in various ways, and though I remain healthy, it has badly affected my day-to-day work. As a result, I’ve decided to take a new position in another state, far from sunny SoCal. As it turns out, this is a better professional opportunity, but the weather in my new home won’t be conducive to barefoot photo shoots during much of the year.

Covid also prevented me from shooting much in 2020, so I’ve pretty much run through my backlog. I have a few girls left, but they’re mostly the “not so great” shoots that aren’t up to the standards I’ve set. Between my upcoming move, the weather in the new home state, and the lack of sufficient backlog, I’m sad to announce that I’ll be bringing SGM to a close, at least for now.

I will be continuing to post through August to make sure my patrons get their money’s worth, which means finishing Sonali and a new “Zoe Returns” set. So if you want to take the opportunity to grab all my sets for a mere $15, now is the time!

I’m not quite sure what I’m going to do with the page yet. I may pull it down at the end of the month or leave it up for a while for those who might have missed it.

I’ll still be checking in here too.

Dear Zane.. those are VERY sad news!

For the little it is worth, you have all my sympathy, both personally and "professionally".
In the last seven years I have somehow managed to keep my barefootographic projects alive in spite of assorted hurdles and fading health..
but sometimes there are trains in life that you cannot miss, or changes that you cannot avoid.
Yet in 14 months of activity at SGM you have made some milestone achievements, and those will stay forever:
you have been the first US footographer to launch a paysite exclusively focused on barefooting since Dennis Cramer's/Crabapple's seminal Barefoot Mara project in the late 1990s; and with wonderful ASHLEY, RACHEL and GABRIELLE you have given us three of the most gorgeous barefoot beauties of the last decade.
I definitely hope that you will remain active here in the forum: you are one of the coolest and friendliest dudes that I have ever met here!

So I wish you all the best, and I hope that you will be able to revive your SGM project one day. NEVER let your dreams die, man!

Today I posted the final set with the beautiful and tough-soled Sonali. Being a frequent barefooter whose feet seemed particularly good at attracting dirt, Sonali was game for competing in an unofficial "filthy soles contest" with my previous models. So I took her to the dirtiest parking garage in SoCal for the final third of her shoot, and as you can see below, she was a clear contender for the title by the end.

This week's set also includes some closeups of Sonali's pitch black soles.

Zane, good luck at your new job and new state. We all hope your love of barefooting woman photography will bring you back one day. Hey even in a colder state 6 months of photography is still not too shabby (I'm sure your warmer than city-feet's photosites!). And sometimes a barefoot woman in jeans and sweater on a cool October day can be sexier than just shorts. Thanks for all your contributions to the field of barefooting women.

So this might be my final set of SGM photos, at least for a long while. I'm not sure yet whether I'll post one of the "reserve" models next week, since there will only be a couple days before EOM.

If this is the last set, then I'm happy to end with Zoe, a model who became a friend as well as a subject. She manged to get her feet into everything from motor oil and "normal" dirt to the soot and filth washed off hundreds of cars. As always, she was grinning and laughing through it all.

Thanks shifter and DG2001! I'm glad you liked Zoe's latest set. I know the extreme dirty shots aren't to everyone's taste, but I think the models look like true barefooters that way.

I'm posting my final photo set tomorrow and will be shutting down the site, at least for now, on September 9. If anyone here wants to grab all my photo sets for a mere $15, this is your last chance!

If you like extremely filthy feet, on Sunday I'll also be posting a couple videos of Sonali dancing around in the dirtiest parking garage in SoCal. Her soles are black, and her feet are caked in motor oil, soot, and more.

As a treat for those who like pitch black soles, I posted a youtube video of my favorite model from Shoeless Girls, Zoe: https://youtu.be/Rz1jg3Crfs0. In it, she dances barefoot in a patch of soot and grime we found in a parking lot.

The reason Zoe was my favorite is because she had so much fun with the shoots and liked getting her feet really filthy. You can see her cool personality come through in this video.

It's good to be back.

No, I don't have any plans to continue the site in the foreseeable future. My job's become too busy, and finding models in my new city is much more difficult than in SoCal.

I'm glad you enjoyed my patreon... rebooting SGM as an archive is not a bad idea. I won't be able to produce new content in the foreseeable future, but you're right that the pics are wasted sitting on my hard drive. I'll keep it in mind for when things at work slow down a bit.
