Edita is a runner who trains barefoot on rural trails, full of dirt, sharp gravel and stones. She loves her feet, her soles are strong yet smooth. She is planning to run a marathon (42km) in bare feet next year.

I am a barefoot Marathon runner. If this is Edita's first Marathon trial, I suggest to try Half Marathon first. Marathon is really an extreme burden to one's body.

And this is an interview made to Edita:

Paul Swentkowski

Edita is a runner and runs barefoot ... after seeing a photo in City Feet, I approached her for this brief interview:

Paul: How long have you been running barefoot?
Edita: is it a question? I am an athlete, I started running on trails without shoes two months ago and ran with power for many reasons. One: I took more seriously to recover an injury to the Achilles heel and another on my knee. He also walked or ran without shoes for a long time and the last thing I tried in 2015 was to finish a race in Peru 8mil of 100 kilometers, running barefoot from kilometer 60 to 80 in the desert of Paracas, was a great disappointment , you can not complete the 100k. (It was 06 months trained, it was not enough competition) There I showed that I am a bit minimalist. I'm not all day without shoes. And when it's time to train, I leave the shoes at home and I run down the paths to continue strengthening not only my feet, my body, my mind. If not? to continue to domesticate my emotions.

Paul: What do you think of that video of yours at the foot of the city, your feet look fantastic?
Edit: I do not have thoughts, I just do what I like and enjoy my moments. I love the contact with the earth, with what surrounds me, with nature and I live with a lot of energy.

Paul: Would you consider taking some barefoot videos or photos of your feet? I'd love to make you a page here.
Edita: Yes, I plan to make more videos, more photos. Running without shoes helps me overcome any obstacle, test me how to transcend a severe depression that was happening at that time ... And the best challenge was: "the pills of the psychiatrist or my life" Good choice, I keep running barefoot in favor of my life, of my happiness that comes from within me.

During the weekend, Edita went to a beach town, where she walked barefoot in the street. Her soles got black!

Then, the next day she climbed a hill, barefoot. The road was harsh, full of sharp gravel and shells, and hot under the Summer sun... but she didn't stop, she went up and down the hill during three hours.

It was a hard challenge to her soles and to her spirit, but she made it!
