Hi guys,

I met this cute little hardcore barefoot girl a while back. I had actually already seen her walking barefoot everywhere in 2012 and talked to her, but we only managed to recently meet up for photos.
Her name is Anouk and she has lovely hardcore tough soles and is always barefoot on the streets.

When we met she told me that she has two different types of soles!
Check them out: Her one sole always becomes super dirty and the other one doesn't, but the skin seems tougher on that foot. (best visible in the third photo)
Very unique --- I have never seen this before. Have you seen anthing similar?

Thanks for sharing. Yeah, there is indeed a difference. While I haven't seen something like this before, I think there is a reason why this might happen.

It would depend on the way she walks, maybe she is putting more body weight and pressure on one foot while walking as a result of which, her sole on that foot gets more dirty?

Initially I thought it might be because she has a higher arch on one foot than the other. But that is not the case here, because the dirt pattern on both the soles is similar. They have same dirt patterns (balls and heels of her soles, along with a slight portion on the middle part of her soles).

Fascinating.

I guess that there is a difference in transpiration between both feet, so the dry sole collects less dirt from the surface. Or else she has an overdeveloped skin production on her foot, caused by her genes. As a barefooter I know that friction on the thick regions of my soles causes "clean" spots, in reality a loss of skin, where no dirt can stick on. But I hope she didn't walk that funny to cause this result...
Anyway, we as foot-connaisseurs

should appreciate this phenomenon, imagine you asking yourself either to caress the though, clean sole or to enjoy the softer, slightly dirtier foot.

Thanks for your replies. Yes, I also think it might have something to do with the transpiration of the skin -- it seems like her one foot is drier than the other one. Maybe that sole can't produce as much sweat/moisture as the other one.

Yes, very pretty......and thank goodness she's not a hippy: I much prefer the glamorous or casual or business look to the hippy look.

And how do you manage to run up against so many barefoot girls? I go months without even a glimpse.

Yeah, it's kind of amazing that she has feet as tough and filthy as any of the hippie girls that Hal has photographed, and yet she's dressed totally normal.

I love hippie girls, but I'm amazed at Anouk.
