It's really cool that punk girls will go barefoot over in Germany. Here in the US, what few girls do go barefoot are almost all hippies. I've never seen a barefoot punk girl here.

@ dude: I definitely see more hippie girls walking barefoot than punks. But occasionally I will spot the one or other punk girl with black, dirty soles walking around barefooted outdoors.
Unfortunately most of them are not very open (or rather: quite suspicious) of having photos taken --- especially for an internet project. I don't blame them --- not everybody wants their face posted on a public website, especially not some of the more politically involved punks. I've asked about 15-20 barefoot punk girls to pose for me in the last years but it only worked out with a handfull

Yeah, it doesn't surprise me that some people might not want to be on an internet photo site, political activists or not. It's still great how many you HAVE managed to get to pose for you.

I totally agree! It's amazing how Hal manages to convince so many girls posing for him. Not nude, ok, but public barefooting is more than just taking "ordinary" pictures...

And it's a difference if you take a model - as I do for shooting - (who normally should know about what it means being published) or these, lets call them "innocent", girls not knowing it so well...

I'd be curious about what the girls friends (not the very close ones but at school or work) think of it (or if they even know it...).

So, Hal, you're obviously a smart guy if you manage to do it! Chapeau!

The same is true for Feetosopher, who even convinces some to pose nude! A w e s o m e !!

It is usually a hit-or-miss siutation when I talk up girls on the street. Most are really open towards it and I've been very lucky so far in the last ten years --- but then when you meet up for the photo session you never know how the girl is going to be as a model. There are so many factors that make out a good session: Is she good and bold about posing, are you going to get along well on a personal work-level, are her feet going to look okay on that day, the weather, etc. For most of the girls it is a first time thing and I think most of them really enjoy it (and the pay is quite good

).
You asked about the model's friends: I can't know, of course, but I guess it is considered to be quite a "cool" thing to pose for Toes-in-Action because quite often friends of the models contact me --- kind of "Hey, I'm a friend of XYZ and I also walk barefoot outdoors. Would you like to shoot pictures of me?"

That's kind of a break through when girls ask you to have a barefoot shoot!

The quality of your work does a promotion, too!

And thanks to good old Feetosopher some of them dare even more. For me, this is the most exciting: seeing a girl doing barefoot posing only at the beginning and then - eventually - making a giant leap towards nude posing.

Dear G.B... Hal is surely the most prolific persuader of barefoot girls I have ever met in my life.. I cannot rival with him!!!

But when it's about getting barefoot girls out of their underwear.. I must admit that I am not that bad at it..

But it is fair from my side to tell that getting Janina, Kira, Sheila and Lo to model stark naked & wide open in the infamous railyard is the result of teamwork between Hal and me.. with Hal in charge of understanding which of his models can be more open towards nude modeling, and of making the ice-breaking talks with them.. and me completing the job with my hefty modeling fees.. and my professional but friendly attitude when on location..

WHICH TIA MODEL WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE STARK NAKED IN THE RAILYARD THIS SUMMER, G.B.??? Please let us know!!! Ciao!!!
