Thanks! I'll post more since you like them so much. All these pics may make it seem like I see barefoot girls everyday. It is much more common in a college town but sadly still rare. I may see one or twoa week if I walk around a lot. And I'm always ready to document and capture these rare occasions because they are so fleeting. The interesting thing is mind is sort of trained to spot a barefoot woman from far away even if I cannot see if they're barefoot. They walk differently when barefoot(strides) - it appears much more efficient then women walking around in flip-flops (and I'm not just saying that because I love barefoot women.) When they walk in flip flops is seems like the foot does not go forward enough and extra effort is used to grip the shoe so it does not slip off.![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

| Wow! Once again, perfect snapshots of true barefooter moments! What you say is true. Last summer I saw a woman walk towards me from a reasonable distance and I did judge by the way she walked that she was probably barefoot... and she was! Unfortunately I did not have the nerve to take a pic However I am hoping to take some good photos once summer arrives around here.. |

| These are really fantastic! I'm especially impressed with the close ups, and that one with feet on the table next to the water bottle; how did you pull that shot off? I also have to agree, a barefoot girl has a distinctive stride, only noticeable to the trained eye of the serious foot enthusiast! |

I am glad you like. I shoot from the hip and I'm quick like I was just passing by. This makes quality of photos not so good, but more real. Though I would have to say most of these women are probably not 24/7 barefooters. I think some just went barefoot for the day because it was a great spring day and wanted to feel the sensation of the ground. That is Ok with me though since even something like that is quite admirable. From what I see many women would not do this unfortunately. |

| Considering the circumstances, these shots turned out great. I'm with you, even if a girl just goes barefoot that one day, I appreciate it. It's not as good as a real-deal barefoot girl, but in that moment, it's good enough. |

| Thanks for sharing these. It doesn't matter to me if they do it every day or once, it's nice to see people enjoying it and especially doing it willfully. Did you happen to hear any dialogue between anyone and any of these women about why they were barefoot? I remember two women in college who came to campus without shoes on in the spring. I think one did it to get attention (she seemed to be really enjoying it, even let a guy in a cafe rub her feet). and I'm pretty sure that the other one had a boyfriend who put her up to it... |

Hi Gothrocket. Unfortunately I do not overhear why they are barefoot. These women are often on their way to somewhere and they walk surprisingly fast so not much talk time. I went to a water park recently and I could not walk barefoot fast on pavement(too many little pebbles) - so these women probably have some conditioning. I think women often wear sandals with heels and this makes them go barefoot after they realize how painful it is. Even those with a small heel can be uncomfortable. I think I agree that attention might have something to do with it. I knew this girl who went to a dorm party barefoot. Some guy asked "where are your shoes?" in a very questioning manner. That was annoying to me but it seemed like it was annoying her. Sometimes these women go barefoot because they are expected not too. A year later I saw her barefoot in a dive bar. It was in the basement of some building. I think she brought heels though and they were hurting her. Other than that I have seen women go places barefoot because they were meeting up for a volleyball game in the sand court or going to play ultimate frisbee barefoot. |
