Paul

Today when I came home from work, I heard music blaring from my neighbor's garage. My neighbor's friend was helping them clean their garage, and he had brought his old school boombox and was blasting reggae-ton as loud as he could get it.

It was definitely my cue to start an impromptu dance party.

http://img245.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=32370_DiaryofaBarefootGirl003_122_131lo.JPG

While dancing, my neighbor's friend looked at me kind of funny and asked why I was wearing no shoes. My reply: "Because I hate shoes! Shoes are evil!"

http://img157.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=32450_DiaryofaBarefootGirl004_122_570lo.JPG

I seriously despise shoes.

http://img223.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=32523_DiaryofaBarefootGirl006_122_751lo.JPG

Being able to feel the dirt beneath your feet, having the ability to scrunch your toes without them being trapped inside shoes, it is a magical feeling. There is no other feeling like it in the world.

And until one is discovered, I will continue to dance barefoot. Nothing less would be suitable for Sierra, the barefoot queen.

Lovely pics! Your diary gets better everyday!

Thanks for sharing them.

Posted by: cjaoov Oct 21 2010, 04:34 AM
How do you think I can make it even better?

Posted by: DG2001 Oct 21 2010, 04:35 AM
Well, a garage is an interesting place for you to show us how tough your soles are.

Posted by: cjaoov Oct 21 2010, 04:37 AM
Do you think I should have chosen a different location? Or perhaps used different shots to demonstrate this quality?

Posted by: DG2001 Oct 21 2010, 04:37 AM
BTW, I like your name, "Sierra, the barefoot Queen". It fits you well!

How much can your toughened soles endure, Sierra? What kind of things would you dare to put them through?

Maybe you can stand barefoot on nails, bolts and such things. And also run barefoot on those razor sharp rocks you mention.

Posted by: cjaoov Oct 21 2010, 04:39 AM
Dare me to do anything. As long as it doesn't do any actual damage to my feet, I'm game.

Great ideas! I will definitely include things like that in future posts.

Anything? God, you're brave! Those soles of yours must be quite tough indeed.

Mmm...how about running barefoot on those razor sharp rocks you mention? And jumping on them too, several times. And, Sierra, I mean RUNNING....as fast as you can.

To make it more interesting, take pics AND a video, so that we can see your soles before and after the challenge.

What do you say, would you dare to????

Posted by: cjaoov Oct 21 2010, 04:50 AM
Too easy. But since you asked nicely, I'll do it for you.

Anybody else got anything harder?

Posted by: b'ftlvr2008 Oct 21 2010, 06:46 AM
Well, since you asked smile.gif
Break down and buy one of those cheap single cigars (you don't have to smoke it, just puff on it) and see if you can touch it to your heels and such and for how long.
You said if you smoked, you'd put them out barefoot,,
Like hold it there, puff on it to get the cherry hot again and do it again, if they're touch enuf. Sorta like the gallery section of Sveta in her last update. Don't injure yourself.
What else,,ever try cruching pop cans barefoot?
And, I used to know a gal who liked walking on fluorescent bulbs and crushing them, walking heel to toe and listening to the glass crunch. (got a picture of that)

Wish you could do a video, ohmy.gif

Well what ever you do don't hurt yourself.

How about pics doing your farm chores. You're lucky! I wish I lived on a farm, I would do all the work barefoot!

Posted by: cjaoov Oct 21 2010, 04:03 PM
I was planning on waiting until I was around some of my smoker friends to use my feet as an ashtray. There isn't anywhere in my farming community where I would be able to purchase any form of tobacco (or alcohol, for that matter).

I frequently crush pop cans barefoot. Or, well, as frequently as I drink pop from a can... Next time I get a picture for you guys.

And next time I have a burnt out lightbulb handy, I'll see if I can get someone to record me crushing it.

I will for sure get pictures of me doing farm chores.

Can't wait to see the photo's. This is a real pleasure having you join the site rolleyes.gif
Here, check out my photobucket site. Pages 1,2 & 5 mainly are shots of friends of mine over the years doing cool stuff barefoot.

Great shots! I might pull influence from them, if you don't mind.

Posted by: b'ftlvr2008 Oct 21 2010, 06:47 PM
Go for it, these are things I found impressive over the years. They might have posed for the shots, but it was things they did every day. You probly do things everyday that we'd be at awh over, but you don't realize it because it's routine for you. Like the pop cans.
So, keep up what you're doing. We enjoy it and have fun, you have a lot of admirere's wink.gif

You are a fantastic girl !

We are very lucky to have you in this forum !

About the extreme things : I think that the most extreme thing is to be barefeet always and every where.
For me will be more "extreme" to see you working, doing all farm chores, barefeet for all the day, than try to walk over glasses or nails only for few minutes....

So I'm waiting to see photos and maybe videos of you working in the farm barefeet.

Maybe with some close up of your soles....

I guess I never really noticed how unique I was until Boyfriend mentioned something about it. I like that he doesn't make a big deal out of my being barefoot. He acts like it's normal, because for me, it is. It would be weird for me to date someone who doesn't think barefoot is normal, because I think that would result in being treated differently.

More pics coming soon!

Just out of curiosity, from the photo's you looked at, which one(s) got your interest the most? And which looked like something you all the time?
I can give you commentary on each one if you want.

Posted by: cjaoov Oct 21 2010, 08:55 PM
I found the ones by the railroad tracks to be the most interesting, but the ones that looked like the things I do normally were the ones where they were just walking around normally.

I've seen the pictures and videos you just posted. What can I say?

Dare accomplished!

You rock Sierra! I wonder what other dares you're going to take.

Posted by: cjaoov Oct 21 2010, 11:33 PM
Yes, dare accomplished. See my latest post for proof. I'll be doing a dare about once a week, should anyone feel the desire to put my feet to the test. The rest of my posts will be my normal day to day stuff though.

The close up might be a good format for you (some more gravel video's from you, good close ups) and for future dares.

Yes, perhaps. Thanks for the heads up!

You'll have your soles used as an ashtray? Wow, that's cool! I bet you can have several cigarettes (or even cigars!) put out on your soles over and over, I wonder what your limit will be. I suggest you not to burn the arches, the skin is more delicate there as it's not in direct contact with the ground.

Will you crusy lightbulbs barefoot too? Amazing!
