In the middle of the street two young barefooted women were balancing on the railway tracks of the public tram. They were giggling and trying to hold their balance...and it looked so innocent and beautiful, that I immediatly had to stop and talk to them. It turned out they were both friends and also actors of an alternative theater group...and since all the rehearsals in the theater are done barefooted the girls left their shoes at home and walked to the theater barefoot. They told me that they have been doing this since a couple of years now and that most of the other actors also arrive barefooted....in fact, this has turned some of them into barefoot-lovers who walk without shoes at other times of the day, too.
Wow!...is life too good sometimes or what?
I left them my number and one of the two girls (Tuba...yes, that is a real name...she is from Turkey) called me the same night to make up a date for a photo session.
We met up a couple of days later and had our first photosession...but it started to rain really hard and we had to cancel it after about 30min.
Then the following week the weather was blazing hot and this was perfect. She already arrived barefooted of course and her soles were nice and dirty. We had a long photo session together with video filming in between, and you can see that this girl has a lot of barefoot experience. I´m sure she could walk or run over any surface...and I will hopefully film more of her this spring/summer.
