Even if I'm not a fan of extreme barefoot sessions where the girls walk barefoot on beds of broken glass or hot coals, I have to admit that a certain amount of risk is always very exciting, especially with models who are just occasional barefooters, or even doing it for the first time.

However, I have noticed for several years that the places where the models evolve are becoming cleaner and smoother. Has Moscow become the world champion of the cleanest cities, or is it due to the choice of locations where the filming takes place?

It's all the more unfortunate because the progress made in video resolution now allows us to have a fairly good image of the floors they walk on... but we are seeing more and more rarely shards of glass shining through.

Wouldn't it be possible to move away from the center of Moscow from time to time to explore less touristy, less clean areas, to go to the suburbs that probably correspond more to the risks that most people have to accept if they choose to walk barefoot in the street?

Sergei, you are bang on, sir.
I think your point relates very closely to some other themes I've brought up in these pages over the years. In short, I feel that CF has become tamer, cleaner, 'nicer' since its inception.

I recently wrote about shoots at supermarkets in this context. The stores all seem so upscale, freesh, clean, well lit; I guess the UK equivalent would be Waitrose or the US parallel Wholefoods. The sort of places affluent professionals go in their Range Rovers. Just not the type of places I want to see a CF shoot.

Similarly, you point out very well, that the streets of Moscow seem so clean and modern - looking more like sunny Santa Monica beach than grimy, gloomy Moscow.

if Moscow has undergone this transformation then good luck to them and well done to authorities for making it happen but.........as a barefoot girl environment it's less than ideal.

Look back to shoots from the early days of CF and a different vibe is apparent. Yes, the environment is shabbier but that 'wild west' vibe that I always used to find so attractive about Moscow when I visited is still apparent in a way that's it's not in recent shoots. Look back to a shoot that Luba did in 2007. the streets look grubby, she's drinking a can (yes a can, not a posh bottle) of what looks like barely wine or some such and she's smoking.

Nothing about it is 'nice' or genteel.

So, yes, Sergei, I'm with you 100%, it would be nice to see more sense of risk, I'd like to see a darker side of CF return; gloomy weather, broken glass, crowded locations (difficult with Covid I admit), litter, dodgy-looking people in the background, and so on.

And shoot more at night where it feels darker, is darker and it's harder to see where you're putting your feet.

Despite all of the above, though, CF remains the best barefoot girl site on the web - for those of us who see things as I do.

yes, its kinda true, with the better resolution in both photos and videos, we get a much better picture and contrast to the images, whereby many years ago, all the details were not visible to us as today.
i still do embrace high-resolution though

thanks for linking the clip to luba, this was indeed a killer set.
perhaps city-feet in the past was also a bit more edgy as most (or alot) models came from porn or also did some public-nudity shoot for other sites (like public-sluts), so for them just go barefoot wasnt a big thing and by nature, these girls were already louder?

Ciao shifter, I think that yours is a good explanation.
I miss the "beautiful girl gone bad" models that used to appear on City Feet in the past. I loved all the City Feet models that also appeared on Public Sluts or Nude-In-Russia. I am still totally crazy about Lena, for instance: http://www.city-feet.com/models/43/view.
I also think that Sergeī and Mike123 are totally right about locations, even though for a personal reason. I have never been to Russia, so City Feet cannot provide the special thrill that material produced in cities that I have been to gives me (this is one of the reasons why I like Barefoot Urban Girls, by the way). But sure the less recent updates at City Feet thrilled me with the sight of beautiful girls walking barefoot in places that I would have been reluctant to venture into wearing a pair of boots.

I think that's very probably the explanation behind the more gritty vibe of the early CF sets, that the models were essentially porn models. They had a look and attitude which was slightly 'darker' than many of our current rosy-cheeked girls next door.

I'd love to see some of them return for an encore performance or / and CF models become a little less wholesome.

One model I'd love to see brought back is Anna's anonymous friend who sadly, received no billing. Leather jacket, a can of what was actually energy drink but we can pretend it was beer - she smoked AND had painted toenails. She was a winner

I fully agree, it would be nice to see the beautiful City Feet girls walking barefoot on coarse pavement, broken cement, a construction site, a demolished building, on rubble, sharp gravel, etc. also wearing wide leather anklets or steel ones, to show the people that they are not barefoot by accident, but because they chose to.

Perhaps we need more mom and pop stores to visit. Neighorhood groceries/convenience and bargain stores or flea markets. Nowadays big shiny supermarkets and bigbox sores are taking over. Noticed in the past years, cleaners now have huge moving cleaning machines that they go over daily. You won't see small independent grocery stores have that. Even if they did the small stores are cramped and you could not navigate a machine in it. I like it when the floors are gritty. And the outdoor neighborhoods they're in tend to be older.

Don't get me wrong but floors look shiny and great when clean in those modern stores. I can see how that would attract customer but perhaps really does not do much for cleanliness since people do not eat food off the floor. Perhaps an older and more eco friendly way to go is not use the machines. And if woman went more barefoot often that would be more eco friendly too with less of a carbon footprint since shoes do not have to be produced as much and unclutter life. Why not hire a barefoot female shopkeeper to sweep the floors. Much better eco wise and perhaps the baresoles itself would be helpful in identifying/keeping the floors clean. HeHe. Well that last paragraph was more fantasy than the first but maybe there is truth to it?

Well, I don't see why your reasoning should not apply to female clothing!

Personally I would love to go to a grocery shop where FEMALE assistants and customers are totally naked..

But I guess that many forum members would disagree with the above considerations.. in spite of the eco-friendliness of female nudity..

One of the best City Feet videos IMO, was the one where Alexandra walked on those sharp rocks and rusty train tracks in the hot weather. Need more badasses like her.

Yes, as I KEEP suggesting I'd like to see a nightclub shoot where ONE of our girls goes barefoot to a club with her (shod) friends though this is one that will have to wait for the spring, I suspect. I mean a grimy nightclub and I suspect Paul couldn't shoot it in the normal way but a cameraphone and some ingenuity should do it. It'd be a 'special', perhaps not the usual picture quality but seeing our heroine in a hot, packed club with a filthy floor would be worth the compromised video quality.

Then we'd get the journey home, late on the packed metro.

Bring it on, it'd shake things up a bit.

I'm not keen on shoots where we just get the model centre of the shot and no-one else around. The pint of CF is that it's in the city, amongst crowds with all the grime and bustle that go with city life. Strolling through a park on a sunny day is something we all could do, easy peasy.

Also Toes-In-Action and Barefoot Urban Girls offer plenty of pictures and videos of girls barefooting in crowded urban locations: this is not an exclusive of City Feet.
As I observed in another thread, Barefoot Urban Girls currently offers the widest range of different locations and situations, in my view. Urban barefooting, country barefooting, barefoot tours abroad, etc.
Toes-In-Action is the most repetitive of the three: Hal very rarely moves from his city, and locations tend to be always the same.
City Feet used to offer a wider variety of locations and situations (especially if we also consider the brief experiment with Country Feet), but the trips to other Russian cities and the tours to India, Egypt etc. were discontinued a long time ago, which is a pity.
I agree with DG2001 about barefooting in risky places, but I am not a fan of shootings at night: the quality of pictures and videos is usually much worse.
To me, the most serious missing element in City Feet's recent offer is the attractiveness of the models, but you know my view on this too well.
