| SORAYA is beautiful and exotic, she almost looks like a gypsy. Have you ever taken photos of a beautiful gypsy? I've seen them in Rome, Venice, Florence, Madrid along the towns on the Costa del Sol and Paris. For a few Euros usually 5 , they would let me take photos of their feet. They're were amused and slightly embarrassed as feet are considered slightly taboo.They looked at me as Gadjo Dilo or crazy stranger. Movies about and with gypsies are also a good source for barefoot women often in real life if it is a documentary such as Latcho Drom from 1993 |

| Soraya is actually Persian, from Iran. In my opinion many women from Iran have beautifully shapped feet --- often long & slender with perfect nail beds (quite similar to women from India). -Hal- |

| Yes they are beautiful. I'm also reminded of Orientalist painting and photography. This was a very romantic view of the Middle East in 19th century art that was very popular in France, England and to some extent Germany. Images of harems, dancing girls and slave markets. Feet were important in the culture of the harem and in images of harems the women are almost all barefoot. Orientalism carried over into silent film and early Hollywood . Arabian Nights, Thief of Baghdad, Kismet are a few with barefoot women . |
