She always dances barefoot, even on dirt floor full of sharp gravel, and on coarse, extremely hot cement. Her soles are tough and strong.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marinera

In Marinera Norteņa, the man wears shoes, while the woman dances completely barefoot. With constant practice women are even able to dance barefoot on very hot pavement and rough surfaces, as the soles of their feet are well seasoned and toughened up, something they are proud of.

There's no "Marinera Dress". Female dancers should wear the typical clothing of the towns where this marinera style is performed. It's mandatory though that women dance barefoot. It is unacceptable for them to wear sandals, canvas shoes, ballet slippers or any kind of footwear to perform this dance.

She looks sweet and fragile being barefoot and this fact makes this dance more beautifull. http://forum.city-feet.com/style_images/1/icon1.gif

Yes, sweet, fragile, delicate, feminine...but those beautiful and apparently delicate feet are quite strong indeed! Her soles are tough and she is used to dancing barefoot on REALLY hot pavement... she can also dance on dirt and stones.

I've seen women with very uniformly tough, leather like soles, calloused soles and soft soles all able to easily walk on hot pavement, gravel, concrete sidewalks and cobblestone streets with complete comfort. Everyone is different in how their soles adapt to their environment.

I recall a long time ago this woman who hung out in Washington Square Park in NYC. Her feet were always black all over. I think she lived in the park and/or the street. We compared soles one time. Hers were very soft like she never went barefoot yet she had no problems at all walking on seering hot pavement. Mine were much more calloused than hers yet we both shared the same degree of tolerance. smile.gif

I agree, everyone's feet adapt differently to the environment. As far as I know Ingrid's soles are hard and tough, a bit rough too, but she hasn't posted pictures of her soles yet. It would be interesting to see how the soles of the feet of a good Marinera dancer look like, hope she decides to take those pictures in the near future.

Hi Nastya!

Ingrid's passion is Marinera Norteņa, nothing will ever stop her dancing! She's used to dance on very hot pavement, rough cement, even on dirt and sharp gravel, always barefoot.

Glad you liked the pictures!

Some more pictures of Ingrid. Don't be foolished by the delicate appearance of her pretty feet... she is use to dance, barefoot all the time, even on extremely hot blacktop, on very coarse and rough cement and on dirt and gravel.

Yes, she is! Not just a beautiful girl, but a great, lovely one. You can post on her FB wall, I am sure she will be delighted by your comment and to see you appreciate not only her beauty but her art, her dance and her bravery

Her feet are beautifully shaped, definitely dancing barefoot, even on the worst surfaces, makes them more beautiful.
