Unfortunately, there might be a problem with pesky health regulations!
However, I think most of them stated that people can't be barefooted where food is being prepared. So the girls could get around this by putting on sandals when entering the kitchen to pick up the food.As a matter of fact, I remember there was a place in Hawaii called the Barefoot Bar where the staff went barefooted. It was on the beach. I believe it closed down several years ago.
Of course, if the waitresses are barefoot at this restaurant, there's be no reason why patrons couldn't also be barefooted!
