Since 2007 I´ve been recieving contribution galleries from a very talented Italian photographer. He calls himself The Feetosopher (some of you may know him) and just like me he is a big fan of women walking barefoot in public and showing off their dirty soles. He started taking photos in 2004 and since then he has shot more than 70 beautiful models walking the streets of various Italian cities.

I sent a small collection of some of his work to Wu`s Feet Links. On Toes-in-Action there are already over 1500 pics from him and more to come in future.

You can visit the gallery at Wu`s over here:

Enjoy,

Much as I appreciate Hal featuring this guy on his site, he really must be encouraged to set up his own site because no one captures outdoor barefooting in such a classy way. Yhis (Pauls ) site is perhaps more daring in terms of rain, snow and blatent public barefeet, but the way the smart fashions are emphasised with beutifuk barefeet out doors, on gravel etc here is wonderful

Please lets see more

Yeah, these are great. But that stupid pink border needs to go. There's a reason why the Monalisa isn't framed in pink at the Louvre in Paris...

Great first post, Newbie! dry.gif

It´s just a standard border that I put around all Toes-in-Action pics...but I´ll leave it out next time I post some of The Feetosopher`s pics. You´re right that it does clash a bit with the beauty of his photos.

So many of my website photos are "stolen" and posted somewhere else on the internet (Flickr, Photobucket, Webshots, etc.)...I like making them recognizable. Banner and a border are one way of doing so, even thought the "thieves" mostly remove those.

Cheers,
-Hal-

Yeah, his work is amazing! He is planning on starting his own website some time this year (hopefully).

Like I mentioned above, there are over 1500 photos from The Feetosopher on my website....together with about 20000 pics of my own. Just check them out.

Hi Hal

Ive been a member of your site off and on and really appreciate it. I will join again, just finances dictate I cant be a member of all the sites I would like all the time.

Your work is great and so is Pauls but this guy brings something a little different which is why id really like to see him encouraged to develop his own sites.

I know hes quite a prolific photographer, and its great he showcases his work on his myspace site and your site

I just think he really knows how to get that contrats of smarltly dressed, or wrapped up warm with elegant, oftern cold, often dirty bare feet

Please encourgae him to showcase more of his work

Id defo find the money to join his site on a regualr basi

One thing that intrigues me is where these super high-quality shots have come from. Whenever I visit his MySpace gallery, the pictures are never of such a high resolution as these. Similarly, I've seen several photos of his models that don't seem to be available on his site.

He has emailed me some special photos because I voted in polls, etc. They were a gift, not for publication. If he posted all he has taken on MySpace then what would be left for his own (pay) website? Let's face it, the camera, his time, fees, etc. all cost money. No one wants to work for free! I agree 100%, the work is GREAT and I have told him so. wink.gif

He always sends me his photos in the original resolution (6 megapixel).
I then scale them down for my website and edit them slightly with Photoshop (contrasts, colours, sharpen, etc.).

Yes, as mentioned before he has shot thousands of photos...so you`ve probably only seen a fraction on Myspace.

The Feetosopher is a great photographer, a wonderful artist. It's great that just like you, Hal and Highlander in Germany, Paul in Russia, Arnaud in France and Sabalanu in Brazil, Italy has The Feetosopher to portrait the beauty of its barefoot women.

Thanks for sharing these pics.
